Modern Language training has been revolutionised over recent years, and the experience is now considered much more fun and rewarding. Your Language Teacher will conduct your Thai Course in London almost entirely in Thai, a modern teaching method known as the Communicative Approach, where progress can be made right from your very first session.

In depth: Our Thai Courses for Business in London

1:1 and Group Thai Courses in London

Our Thai Courses in London can either be arranged on a 1:1 or group basis. While the majority of our clients will choose to opt for a 1:1 Thai Course, group sessions prove to be great value for money. Although group sessions are good value, they will require the commitment of all those involved, and participant numbers should not exceed 6 candidates per course. If you require faster progress then a 1:1 Thai Course in London will be better suited to your requirements, as the course can be fully customised to the individuals needs while focusing on their specific strengths and weaknesses.

Thai Course Management

All of SIMON & SIMON’s Language Courses are overseen by one of our highly experienced and multi-lingual Account Managers. Before the start of your Thai Course in London we will send you a profile on your trainer, followed by a Course Plan and relevant course materials. We will then also equip you with a Progress Report after every 40 hours of completed training.

Full-time residential Thai Courses can be arranged as well, enquire with our offices regarding available locations.

Before the start of your course we will comprehensively assess your level of experience and discuss with you in detail your desired aims and goals. About Thai

Thai is the national and official language of Thailand and the native language of the Thai people, Thailand’s dominant ethnic group. Thai is a member of the Tai group of the Tai-Kadai language family. Historical linguists have been unable to definitively link the Tai-Kadai languages to any other language family. Some words in Thai are borrowed from Pali, Sanskrit and Old Khmer. It is a tonal and analytic language. Thai also has a complex orthography and relational markers. Thai is mutually intelligible with Lao, whereas the Isaan dialect is almost the same as Lao.

About London

London is the capital city of England and the United Kingdom. London has the biggest population within Europe with over 8.6 million residents. However, this is not the largest population London has seen, with the current population equivalent to the population 76 years ago. To cope with the extreme population of London, there are approximately 10000 miles of sewage pipes underneath London.

London has been a major settlement for two millennia. Founded by the Romans, who called it Londinium, London retains its square-mile mediaeval boundaries where you will find today’s financial and business hub of London. London is a leading global city, with its strengths in the arts, commerce, education, entertainment, fashion, finance, healthcare, media, professional services, research and development, tourism and transport all contributing to its prominence as a city. London is the world’s largest financial centre alongside New York and has the largest city GDP in Europe.

London is home to 43 universities which forms the largest concentration of higher education institutions in Europe. In 2012, London became the first city to host the Summer Olympic Games three times. London is also leading the way in transport and is home to London Heathrow airport which sees the largest amount of international passengers pass through it compared to any other airport in the world, and is also home to the London Underground which has annual passenger numbers of over 1.25 billion.

Assess Your Thai Level

The table below is based on recognised language levels used by various academic institutions across the European Union. A highly motivated student attending weekly sessions with their Thai language trainer in London can expect to move from one level to another after 50 hours providing they also commit to a similar number of hours of self-study.

Of course, some people find learning languages easier than others, and some students will have more opportunities to practise Thai in the course of their work and leisure, so these factors also need to be considered when trying to assess how long it will take to move from one level to another.
