Prior to starting a Serbian Language course with SIMON & SIMON you will be sent a profile on your specific teacher’s previous experience and background.

Modern language teaching is now approached much differently to how you might remember learning languages in school; the experience is considered more fun and rewarding. We adopt a modern teaching approach known as The Communicative Approach at SIMON & SIMON, where the majority of your lesson will be conducted in Serbian, making progress right from the start of your course. Soon you will have the confidence to use your Serbian language skills in a range of social and business situations.

In depth: Our Serbian Courses for Business in Bournemouth

1:1 and Group Serbian Courses in Bournemouth

You have a choice of either a 1:1 or group sessions. Most of our clients use 1:1, however the group sessions can also be of good value. The group session numbers should be kept to 6 or less for the teacher to give good quality 1:1 time to each student. Those who take the 1:1 course will experience quicker progression as the lessons can be fully tailored to your every need.

Serbian Course Management

Each course at SIMON & SIMON is overseen by one of our highly professional, experienced and multi-lingual Account Managers. Prior to the course you are sent a profile of your Serbian teacher stating their experience and background which is then followed by a Course Plan, course materials and a Progress Report after every 30 – 40 hours of training.

About Serbian

Serbian is a form of Serbo-Croatian spoken by Serbs in Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Croatia and neighbouring countries. There are two principal Serbian dialects, Shtokavian and Torlakian. The literary and standard language is based on Shtokavian, which is also the basis of Standard Croatian, Bosnian, and Montenegrin. Serbian is standardized around Sumadija-Vojvodina and Eastern Herzegovinian subdialects of Shtokavian. Apart from Shtokavian, the Torlak dialect, transitional to Macedonian and Bulgarian, is spoken in southeast Serbia.

About Bournemouth

Bournemouth is a large coastal resort town in the county of Dorset, England. According to the 2001 Census the town has a population of 164,900, making it the largest settlement in Dorset. It is also the largest settlement between Southampton and Plymouth. With Poole and Christchurch Bournemouth forms the South East Dorset conurbation, which has a total population of approximately 400,000. Founded in 1810 by Lewis Tregonwell, Bournemouth’s growth accelerated with the arrival of the railway, becoming a recognised town in 1870. Originally part of Hampshire, it joined Dorset with the reorganisation of local government in 1974. Since 1997 the town has been administered by a unitary authority, meaning that it has autonomy from Dorset County Council. The local authority is Bournemouth Borough Council. Bournemouth’s location on the south coast of England has made it a popular destination for tourists. The town is a regional centre of business, home of the Bournemouth International Centre and financial companies that include Liverpool Victoria and PruHealth. In a 2007 survey by First Direct Bank, Bournemouth was found to be the happiest place in Britain with 82% of people questioned saying they were happy with their life.
