Russian language courses by SIMON & SIMON have been honed down to give you the greatest progress and value for money.

While we offer learning options on both a 1:1 and group basis, we find that most of our learners benefit most from 1 to 1 language training courses.

Group training offers great value for money, but the commitment and organisation to ensure the participants all show up at the same time every week is a trade-off. We recommend no more than 6 participants in a group otherwise the quality of the learning will drop dramatically for all learners.

Belfast Course Management

Every SIMON & SIMON language course is overseen by one of our highly experienced Account Managers, all of whom are multi-lingual.

At the start of your Russian language course we will send you a profile on your trainer, followed by a Course Plan and relevant course materials, and then a Progress Report after every 40 hours of training. You will also receive a copy of our quarterly newsletter, Breaking the Language Barrier, featuring a superb prize draw and invaluable weblinks to language learning sources.

SIMON & SIMON’s network is completely international, with a strong presence across the UK. Russian language courses have been arranged with our experienced language teachers in almost any major city around the world. Wherever you are located, our teachers can either meet you in your office, at one of our locations, in the comfort of your home or anywhere you like by running it through Skype!

Belfast Russian Course Schedules

We run our language courses all year long and can happen anytime between 8am – 6pm Monday to Friday. Weekend courses may also be negotiated with your teacher.

Sessions are typically 90 minutes long with at least one session per week. This can be increased or reduced according to your personal schedule.

And if you have an urgency to learn Russian, you can take part in an intensive Russian language course which consists of 6 hours every day Monday – Friday giving you 30 hours per week.

We do not run standardised Russian language courses. Instead, one of our multi-lingual Account Managers will speak to you directly and tailor the course to your particular objectives. Your teacher then guides you through your learning at the pace and in the direction that you yourself help to set.

This means that whether you’re an absolute beginning looking to “just survive” in Russia, or if you are a professional who wishes to understand the nuances of the language in order to perform better in a law, banking, finance, insurance, sales, travel, marketing or administration context, you will be able to find what you need with SIMON & SIMON’s Russian language courses.

We can also help you with pronunciation, translations, presentation skills and cultural training to help you better participate in the entirety of Russian culture.

Importantly, if you are looking to sit any kind of Russian language examinations, we can assist in your preparations and guide you through the necessary revision. We pride ourselves on achieving a 95% pass rate – which really comes down to the personal 1 to 1 language training from highly experiences Russian language teachers.

We will also assist in the registration and administration of these exams and can also handle the issuing of result certificates.

Russian is a Slavic language used primarily in Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. It is an unofficial but widely spoken language in Ukraine, Latvia and Estonia and, to a lesser extent, the other countries that were once constituent republics of the USSR. It is the most geographically widespread language of Eurasia, the most widely spoken of the Slavic languages, and the largest native language in Europe. Russian belongs to the family of Indo-European languages and is one of three (or four including Rusyn) living members of the East Slavic languages. Written examples of Old East Slavonic are attested from the 10th century onwards. The language is one of the six official languages of the United Nations.

Belfast is the capital of and largest city in Northern Ireland, as well as the second largest city in Ireland. It is the seat of devolved government and legislative Northern Ireland Assembly. The city forms part of the largest urban area in Northern Ireland, and the main settlement in the province of Ulster. The city of Belfast has a population of 267,500 and lies at the heart of the Belfast urban area, which has a population of 483,418. The Larger Urban Zone, as defined by the European Union, has a total population 641,638. Belfast was granted city status in 1888. Historically, Belfast has been a centre for the Irish linen industry (earning the nickname “Linenopolis”), tobacco production, rope-making and shipbuilding: the city’s main shipbuilders, Harland and Wolff, which built the ill-fated RMS Titanic, propelled Belfast on to the global stage in the early 20th century as the largest and most productive shipyard in the world. Belfast played a key role in the Industrial Revolution, establishing its place as a global industrial centre until the latter half of the 20th century.
