While we offer learning options on both a 1:1 and group basis, we find that most of our learners benefit most from 1 to 1 language training courses.

Group training offers great value for money, but the commitment and organisation to ensure the participants all show up at the same time every week is a trade-off. We recommend no more than 6 participants in a group otherwise the quality of the learning will drop dramatically for all learners.

Windsor Course Management

Every SIMON & SIMON language course is overseen by one of our highly experienced Account Managers, all of whom are multi-lingual.

At the start of your Mandarin language course we will send you a profile on your trainer, followed by a Course Plan and relevant course materials, and then a Progress Report after every 40 hours of training. You will also receive a copy of our quarterly newsletter, Breaking the Language Barrier, featuring a superb prize draw and invaluable weblinks to language learning sources.

SIMON & SIMON’s network is completely international, with a strong presence across the UK. Mandarin language courses have been arranged with our experienced language teachers in almost any major city around the world. Wherever you are located, our teachers can either meet you in your office, at one of our locations, in the comfort of your home or anywhere you like by running it through Skype!

Windsor Mandarin Course Schedules

We run our language courses all year long and can happen anytime between 8am – 6pm Monday to Friday. Weekend courses may also be negotiated with your teacher.

Sessions are typically 90 minutes long with at least one session per week. This can be increased or reduced according to your personal schedule.

And if you have an urgency to learn Mandarin, you can take part in an intensive Mandarin language course which consists of 6 hours every day Monday – Friday giving you 30 hours per week.

We do not run standardised Mandarin language courses. Instead, one of our multi-lingual Account Managers will speak to you directly and tailor the course to your particular objectives. Your teacher then guides you through your learning at the pace and in the direction that you yourself help to set.

This means that whether you’re an absolute beginning looking to “just survive” in Vietnam, or if you are a professional who wishes to understand the nuances of the language in order to perform better in a law, banking, finance, insurance, sales, travel, marketing or administration context, you will be able to find what you need with SIMON & SIMON’s Mandarin language courses.

We can also help you with pronunciation, translations, presentation skills and cultural training to help you better participate in the entirety of Mandarin culture.

Importantly, if you are looking to sit any kind of Mandarin language examinations, we can assist in your preparations and guide you through the necessary revision. Standard Mandarin is a standardized form of spoken Mandarin, based on the Beijing dialect of Mandarin Chinese. Standard Mandarin is the official language of the People’s Republic of China (PRC) and the Republic of China (ROC, also known as Taiwan), as well as one of four official languages of Singapore. It is one of the six official languages of the United Nations. About one-fifth of the world’s population, or over one billion people, speaks some variety of Mandarin as their native language. Linguists often view Mandarin as a language family, though owing to China’s socio-political and cultural situation, and the fact that all spoken varieties use one common written system, it is customary to refer to these generally mutually unintelligible variants as “the Mandarin language”.

Windsor is an affluent suburban town in the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead in Berkshire, England. It is widely known as the site of Windsor Castle. The town is situated 21 miles (34 km) west of Charing Cross. It is immediately south of the River Thames, which forms its boundary with Eton. Windsor and the surrounding areas contain some of the most expensive and desirable housing in the UK. The village of Old Windsor, just over two miles to the south, predates what is now called Windsor by around 300 years; in the past Windsor was formally referred to as New Windsor to distinguish the two. The early history of the site is unknown, although the site was almost certainly settled many years before the medieval castle was built. Histories of the town note that the combination of the navigable river and the strategically-placed hill point to the likelihood of continuous human settlement from early times. Evidence includes archaeological finds from Windsor, such as palaeolithic hand-axes, neolithic flint picks, Bronze Age swords and an Iron Age brooch. Although Roman remains are few, there is ample evidence of Anglo Saxon settlement in the area.
