English Courses for Business in Stafford

SIMON & SIMON courses can be run for groups or individuals. Whilst many of our clients opt for our 1:1 session, group sessions can also be of good value. We recommend that group sessions have no more than 6 people attending at one time, this is so that the teachers can pay attention to each individual within the class. Selecting the 1:1 option in Stafford will ensure quicker progress due to the tailored needs addressed by the tutor.

English Course Management

For each English course, there is a multi-lingual Account Manager that SIMON & SIMON provides to ensure the course is running smoothly. In preparation for your course, you will be sent a profile on your assigned English teacher detailing their experience, a Course Plan and course materials. Approximately every 30 – 40 hours of training you will receive a Progress Report.

English courses by SIMON & SIMON have been running in many locations, globally. Due to this global network that SIMON & SIMON have created, there are language trainers in all major European cities, and beyond. We can arrange your English language course to take place at your home, however, many of our clients like to run them in their offices minimising travel. Stafford English Course Schedules

Courses are run in Stafford throughout the year. most of our students will attend at least one session weekly. If this isn’t possible then weekend sessions are available on request. Our English programmes run from 8am to 6pm, Monday to Friday. Intensive English courses can be held on clients’ premises or at residential centres in Stafford. These are available 6 hours per day Monday through to Friday.

English is a West Germanic language that arose in the Anglo-Saxon kingdoms of England and spread into what was to become south-east Scotland under the influence of the Anglian medieval kingdom of Northumbria. Following the economic, political, military, scientific, cultural, and colonial influence of Great Britain and the United Kingdom from the 18th century, via the British Empire, and of the United States since the mid-20th century, it has been widely dispersed around the world, become the leading language of international discourse, and has acquired use as lingua franca in many regions. It is widely learned as a second language and used as an official language of the European Union and many Commonwealth countries, as well as in many world organizations. It is the third most natively spoken language in the world, after Mandarin Chinese and Spanish.

Stafford is the county town of Staffordshire, in the West Midlands region of England. It lies approximately 16 miles (26 km) north of Wolverhampton and 18 miles (29 km) south of Stoke-on-Trent, adjacent to the M6 motorway Junction 13 to Junction 14. The population of Stafford was given in the 2001 census as 63,681, with that of the wider borough of Stafford as 122,000, making Stafford the fourth largest settlement in the Ceremonial county, after Stoke on Trent, Tamworth and Newcastle under Lyme. Stafford means ‘ford’ by a ‘staithe’ (landing place). The original settlement was on an island in the middle of the marshes of the River Sow, a tributary of the River Trent. There is still a large area of marshland northwest of the town, which has always been subject to flooding, such as in 1947, 2000 and 2007. It’s thought Stafford was founded in about 700 AD by Mercian prince called Bertelin who, according to legend, established a hermitage on a secluded marshy island. The remains of a wooden preaching cross were discovered under the foundations of St Bertelin’s Church in the centre of the town.
