1:1 and Group English Courses in IpswichWe offer both one on one and group English lessons in Ipswich. Group sessions are very affordable, but do require planning and commitment on the part of each member, which is why we keep group numbers to below six. This allows us to spend time with each student individually. But, for this reason, the students who opt for 1:1 lessons tend to make more progress as this allows us to tailor the course to their individual requirements.
English Course Management
Overseeing your English course will be one of our very experienced, multi-lingual Account Managers. It will be the job of your Account Manager to monitor your progress and send you progress reports after every 30 or 40 hours of training. In addition, your Account Manager will send you your tutor’s profile, your course plan, helpful language learning resources, and your course material.

Ipswich English Course Schedules
We do not have set schedules at SIMON & SIMON, preferring to give our students the freedom to choose their own schedules from our courses, which run all year. However, the majority of our students choose to book at least one 90 minute lesson a week. We can arrange weekend lessons if necessary, though we traditionally offer lessons from Monday to Friday between the hours of 8 am and 6 pm. Our intensive courses are only available on weekdays, and consist of 6-hour sessions each day, equating to 30 hours per week.

We will tailor your course content to your specific needs and goals. Before you begin your course, we will check your current level of English proficiency, and discuss what you would like to achieve with your course. This could be learning business English in order to discuss topics in a finance or marketing environment, or it could be learning English for conversational purposes. Based on your goals, your tutor will then tailor your course content to help you reach the level of English that you require.
English Language Examination Courses
We can assist with preparation for business English examinations, as well as other types of English examinations. We can also arrange exam registration and administration, and issue your results certificate. About English
English was developed under the Anglo-Saxon settlers in the 5th century and spread across Britain under the influence of the kingdom of Northumbria. In the 18th century, it began to spread across the world as a result of the British Empire’s impact on politics, culture, military tactics, colonialism, and science. British settlers took English to America and the USA’s global influence in the 20th century perpetuated the use of English. Today it is the chosen form of communication between international speakers, and is the third most common native language, following Mandarin Chinese and Spanish.
About Ipswich
Situated on the River Orwell, Ipswich is a county town of Suffolk. With roots tracing back to the Saxons and a port that has been vital to Britain’s thriving trade, Ipswich is a town of historical significance.
Ipswich was one of the early Roman settlements, and the site of a large fort. But, around the 7th century the Anglo-Saxons developed a town around the Ipswich dock. This dock accounted for much of the town’s economy throughout history.
In the 21st century the dock has undergone a gentrification programme, which has forged a residential and commercial area out of the former industrial dock. This and other civic renovations were responsible for Ipswich being named the cleanest town in Britain in 2007.
Despite its developments, Ipswich is still considered a town and has not yet been awarded city status. This, however, does not limit Ipswich’s booming cultural scene, known particularly for art and jazz festivals, and the town’s healthy industry.
