Do you want English courses 1-to-1 or for a group in London?
You can access different English courses in London at SIMON & SIMON depending on your wants and needs.
Our English courses, generally, see the best results when doing 1:1 training as the course can be completely tailored. 1:1 English lessons mean that you will have your individual needs, weaknesses and strengths catered for, so that you are able to progress quicker. However, we also offer group sessions which can be excellent value for money. Group sessions require extra planning as the participants need to meet at the same time each week. We also recommend that numbers are kept to 6 or less so each participant gets the individual time that they need.
Besides any custom arrangements we have, your course will usually be either 1:1 or a group session.
We typically see 1:1 language courses resulting in faster progress than group sessions. This is because we can tailor your English language course to your individual needs, rather than having to create a course that satisfies the requirements of the entire group. It also means that teachers can focus directly on your particular weaknesses.
Groups can be useful for learners to support each other, but we do suggest that you do not book groups bigger than 6. There are abundant English teachers in London, so we can easily have multiple groups if you need to accommodate greater numbers.
Even in group sessions however, our experienced Account Managers will tailor the course to the needs of the team.
Where and when do you want your English course to happen?
Your English language course can be run in various locations. Our wide network of trainers means that any major city in the UK, Europe, and beyond have a SIMON & SIMON English language trainer ready to help you.
On top of this, we can arrange your lessons at any location including your home, although many of our clients prefer our teachers to come to their offices to minimise travel. Residential full-time courses are also available just contact our office to discuss available locations with you.
In terms of timing, English courses in London can be organised at any time of the year that suits you and your team. Most of our students will attend at least one 90-minute session every week, Monday to Friday from 8am to 6pm, and you can request more sessions if needed. Also, if you would prefer, we can arrange weekend courses for you.
SIMON & SIMON also run intensive English language courses in residential centres abroad or in the UK, or on clients’ premises for 30 hours per week, 6 hours a day Monday to Friday.

A highly motivated student attending weekly sessions with their English language trainer can expect to move from one level to another after 50 hours providing they also commit to a similar number of hours of self-study.
Of course, some people find learning languages easier than others, and some students will have more opportunities to practise English in the course of their work and leisure, so these factors also need to be considered when trying to assess how long it will take to move from one level to another.
