When your Vietnamese course starts you will be sent a profile on your trainer, materials for your course and a Course Plan as well as a Progress Report for every 40 hours of training. Most of our clients arrange for their Vietnamese lessons to be run in their offices so that there is less need for travel, but we can also run Vietnamese lessons in your home. York Vietnamese Course Schedules

Our Vietnamese language courses in York go on all year. Some of our students attend more than one 90-minute weekly session if work circumstances allow, and most will attend at least one per week. Weekend Courses in Vietnamese can be arranged on request. Our Vietnamese courses are available 12 hours a day, from 8am to 8pm Monday through Friday. 30 hour per week intensive Vietnamese courses can be held on clients’ premises or in residential centres in the UK or abroad. These courses take 6 hours per day, Monday through Friday.

We will tailor your Vietnamese language course for your specific aims and level of knowledge. Before you start your Vietnamese language course we will assess your goals and level of Vietnamese experience. Vietnamese Language Examination Courses

The table below is based on recognised language levels used by various academic institutions accross the European Union. A highly motivated student attending weekly sessions with their language trainer can expect to move from one level to another after 50 hours providing they also commit to a similar number of hours of self-study.

Of course, some people find learning languages easier than others, and some students will have more opportunities to practise the language in the course of their work and leisure, so these factors also need to be considered when trying to assess how long it will take to move from one level to another.

Vietnamese is the national and official language of Vietnam. It is the mother tongue of 86% of Vietnam's population, and of about three million overseas Vietnamese. It is also spoken as a second language by many ethnic minorities of Vietnam. It is part of the Austro-Asiatic language family, of which it has the most speakers by a significant margin (several times larger than the other Austroasiatic languages put together). Much of Vietnamese vocabulary has been borrowed from Chinese, most notably Cantonese, especially words that denote abstract ideas (in the same way European languages borrow from Latin and Greek), and it was formerly written using the Chinese writing system, albeit in a modified format and was given vernacular pronunciation.

York is a walled city, situated at the confluence of the Rivers Ouse and Foss in North Yorkshire, England. The city has a rich heritage and has provided the backdrop to major political events throughout much of its two millennia of existence. The city was founded by the Romans in 71 AD. They called it Eboracum, a name perhaps derived from one used by the British tribes who inhabited the area. The Romans made it the capital of their Province of Britannia Inferior. While the Roman colonia and fortress were located on high ground, by 400 the town itself was victim to periodic flooding from the rivers Ouse and Foss and lay abandoned. In the early 5th century the area was settled by Angles, who called the town Eoforwic. Reclamation of the flooded parts of the town were initiated in the 7th century under King Edwin. The city came to be the episcopal, and later, royal centre of the Kingdom of Northumbria.
