The feedback on our Vietnamese tutors that we receive from our clients is consistently excellent. Prior to the start of your Vietnamese course, you will be sent a profile on your specific Vietnamese teacher’s experience and background. The way that modern languages are taught has gone through a revolution in the past few years. If you have only learned languages at school you will find that the experience now is vastly more fun and worthwhile.
The Communicative Approach means that your Vietnamese lessons in Nottingham will be almost entirely through the medium of Vietnamese. You will feel that you are making real progress, even in the first lesson, and will soon communicate in Vietnamese with confidence, in a range of social and business environments. We offer Vietnamese courses as group sessions or on a 1:1 basis/ Most of our clients offer their employees 1:1 Vietnamese training, however, if planned carefully, with participants numbering 6 or less who commit to meeting every week, group sessions can be good value for money.
Those who learn Vietnamese at Nottingham on a 1:1 basis will find that they progress more quickly, as the lessons can be specifically tailored for their individual needs, strengths and weaknesses. Vietnamese Course ManagementEvery SIMON & SIMON Vietnamese language course has a highly experienced, multi-lingual Account Manager who oversees it.
When your Vietnamese course starts you will be sent a profile on your trainer, materials for your course and a Course Plan as well as a Progress Report for every 40 hours of training. Breaking the Language Barrier, our quarterly newsletter that you will also receive, contains a prize draw as well as weblinks to a number of learning resources. SIMON & SIMON Vietnamese language courses have been arranged for clients in various locations. We have a global network of trainers and wherever you are, we will be able to organise a Vietnamese language course for you, not only in the UK but in almost any of the major cities in Europe and beyond.

Full-time Vietnamese courses can be arranged in a residential setting for you. Our office has information on the locations we offer. Nottingham Vietnamese Course SchedulesOur Vietnamese language courses in Nottingham run throughout the year. The majority of our students attend at least one 90-minute session per week and many students will try to do more than one session depending on work commitments.
Our Vietnamese teachers are available Monday - Friday from 8am - 8pm, and Weekend Courses can also be arranged on request.
Our intensive Vietnamese language courses run for 30 hours per week, (6 hours per day Monday - Friday), and take place on our clients' premises or at a residential centre here in the UK or abroad. The content of your Vietnamese language course will reflect your level and your particular objectives. We will assess your Vietnamese language level before your course, and discuss with you in detail the subject areas you wish to focus on.
You may be a complete beginner looking for day-to-day Vietnamese survival language skills, or a more proficient Vietnamese speaker needing to improve your fluency when discussing areas such as law, banking, finance, insurance, sales, travel, marketing, and administration.
You may want to focus on improving your Vietnamese for meetings, discussions and negotiations, or to concentrate on improving your listening comprehension, pronunciation and telephone skills.
Whatever your needs, working with one of our highly experienced Vietnamese language trainers you can be confident that the content of your Vietnamese language course will be tailored just for you and that you will soon be meeting your objectives. Vietnamese Language Examination CoursesWe can also help prepare you for Vietnamese examinations of a business or general nature. We are proud to say our students have a 95% pass rate in language examinations, and their success further underlines the value we place on working with Vietnamese teachers in Nottingham with above average experience.
As part of our service, SIMON & SIMON will also organise the registration and administration of Vietnamese examinations and the issuing of result certificates. The table below is based on recognised language levels used by various academic institutions accross the European Union. A highly motivated student attending weekly sessions with their language trainer can expect to move from one level to another after 50 hours providing they also commit to a similar number of hours of self-study.
Of course, some people find learning languages easier than others, and some students will have more opportunities to practise the language in the course of their work and leisure, so these factors also need to be considered when trying to assess how long it will take to move from one level to another.

SIMON & SIMON International Breaking the Language Barrier Back to top of Vietnamese Courses Nottingham Vietnamese is the national and official language of Vietnam. It is the mother tongue of 86% of Vietnam's population, and of about three million overseas Vietnamese. It is also spoken as a second language by many ethnic minorities of Vietnam. It is part of the Austro-Asiatic language family, of which it has the most speakers by a significant margin (several times larger than the other Austroasiatic languages put together). Much of Vietnamese vocabulary has been borrowed from Chinese, most notably Cantonese, especially words that denote abstract ideas (in the same way European languages borrow from Latin and Greek), and it was formerly written using the Chinese writing system, albeit in a modified format and was given vernacular pronunciation. Nottingham is a city and unitary authority area in the East Midlands region of the United Kingdom. It is located in the ceremonial county of Nottinghamshire, and is one of eight members of the English Core Cities Group. Whilst the City of Nottingham has a historically tightly drawn boundary which accounts for its relatively small population of 288,700, the wider Nottingham Urban Area has a population of 667,000 and is the seventh-largest urban area in the United Kingdom, ranking between those of Liverpool and Sheffield. Eurostat's Larger Urban Zone listed the areas population at 825,600 as of 2004. Nottingham is famed for its links with the Robin Hood legend and, during the Industrial Revolution, obtained worldwide recognition for its lace-making and bicycle industries. It was granted its city charter as part of the Diamond Jubilee celebrations of Queen Victoria in 1897 and has since been officially titled the City of Nottingham.
In Anglo-Saxon times, around 600 AD the site formed part of the Kingdom of Mercia and was known in the Brythonic language as Tigguo Cobauc, meaning Place of Caves. In Welsh it is known poetically as Y Ty Ogofog, "The Cavey Dwelling". When it fell under the rule of a Saxon chieftain named Snot it became known as "Snotingaham"; the homestead of Snot's people (Inga = the people of; Ham = homestead). Snot brought together his people in an area now known as the Lace Market.
