Vietnamese Courses for Business in Liverpool

Private individuals and professionals in companies all over the UK have profited from undertaking a Vietnamese Language Course with SIMON & SIMON. Averaging 15 years of experience, our native Vietnamese speaking qualified teachers construct your course so that your individual requirements are met, no matter what your level of experience. Our Vietnamese teachers receive excellent feedback from our clients. A profile, containing information about the Vietnamese teacher’s background and experience, is sent to each student before the Vietnamese lessons start.

If you have only studied languages before at school you will find that teaching approaches to modern language training have changed enormously in recent years - it's now a lot more fun and a far more rewarding experience! Your teacher will conduct your Vietnamese lesson in Liverpool almost entirely in Vietnamese - a method known as the Communicative Approach - and you will find yourself making progress from the very first lesson and soon growing in the confidence to communicate in Vietnamese in a variety of social and business situations.

Our Vietnamese language courses are available on both a 1:1 and group basis, but the majority of our clients offer 1:1 Vietnamese training to their employees. However, with careful planning, group training can offer great value for money, provided there is a real commitment from the participants to get together at the same time every week. We strongly recommend you keep group numbers to 6 or less for these types of courses to be successful. Those learning Vietnamese in at Liverpool on a 1:1 basis will naturally make much faster progress, as the course will be designed around their individual needs and focus on their particular strengths and weaknesses.

Vietnamese Course Management

SIMON & SIMON’s Vietnamese language courses all have a specific Account Manager who oversee the course. Each of these managers is highly experienced and multi-lingual. At the start of your Vietnamese course, you will receive a profile on your trainer, course materials and a Course Plan. After every 40 hours of training you will receive a Progress Report. We will send you our quarterly newsletter, Breaking the Language Barrier, which contains a wonderful prize draw as well as weblinks to valuable language learning resources.

The Vietnamese language courses of SIMON & SIMON have been run in numerous locations. As we have a global network of language trainers your Vietnamese language course can be arranged in major cities across Europe and further afield. Most of our clients arrange for their Vietnamese lessons to be run in their offices so that there is less need for travel, but we can also run Vietnamese lessons in your home. We also run residential full-time Vietnamese language courses in a variety of locations which our office will be happy to inform you of.

Liverpool Vietnamese Course Schedules

The Vietnamese language courses in Liverpool that we run go on through the year. Each week, most of our students will attend at least one of our 90-minute lessons, but many will do more. We can easily arrange Weekend Courses for you. Vietnamese courses run from Monday to Friday, any time from 8am to 8pm. Intensive Vietnamese language courses can be arranged in residential centres abroad or in the UK, or on clients’ premises for 30 hours per week, 6 hours a day Monday to Friday.

Before you start your Vietnamese language course we will assess your level of Vietnamese and speak to you about your aims so that your Vietnamese language course can be customised for you. You may have never been exposed to Vietnamese before and wish to develop basic survival skills, or you may have some experience and wish to be able to speak more fluently in Vietnamese when discussing business. You may want to further your ability to use Vietnamese in negotiations and meetings or better your comprehension and pronunciation abilities. Whatever goals you may have, our experienced Vietnamese language trainers will tailor your Vietnamese course so that your goals can be quickly met.

Vietnamese Language Examination Courses

We are happy to help in your preparation for any Vietnamese examinations. Our students have a 95% pass rate and we think that their success shows the value of our policy of working with above-average experienced Vietnamese teachers in Liverpool. Issuing of results certificates, registration for Vietnamese examinations and administration of such exams is also provided by SIMON & SIMON.

The table below is based on recognised language levels used by various academic institutions accross the European Union. A highly motivated student attending weekly sessions with their language trainer can expect to move from one level to another after 50 hours providing they also commit to a similar number of hours of self-study.

Of course, some people find learning languages easier than others, and some students will have more opportunities to practise the language in the course of their work and leisure, so these factors also need to be considered when trying to assess how long it will take to move from one level to another.

Back to top of Vietnamese Courses Liverpool

Vietnamese is the national and official language of Vietnam. It is the mother tongue of 86% of Vietnam's population, and of about three million overseas Vietnamese. It is also spoken as a second language by many ethnic minorities of Vietnam. It is part of the Austro-Asiatic language family, of which it has the most speakers by a significant margin (several times larger than the other Austroasiatic languages put together). Much of Vietnamese vocabulary has been borrowed from Chinese, most notably Cantonese, especially words that denote abstract ideas (in the same way European languages borrow from Latin and Greek), and it was formerly written using the Chinese writing system, albeit in a modified format and was given vernacular pronunciation.

Liverpool is a city and metropolitan borough of Merseyside, England, along the eastern side of the Mersey Estuary. It was founded as a borough in 1207 and was granted city status in 1880. Liverpool is the fourth largest city in the United Kingdom (third largest in England) and has a population of 435,500, and lies at the centre of the wider Liverpool Urban Area, which has a population of 816,216. Historically a part of Lancashire, the urbanisation and expansion of Liverpool were both largely brought about by the city's status as a major port. By the 18th century, trade from the West Indies, Ireland and mainland Europe coupled with close links with the Atlantic Slave Trade furthered the economic expansion of Liverpool. By the early 19th century, 40% of the world's trade passed through Liverpool's docks, contributing to Liverpool's rise as a major city. Inhabitants of Liverpool are referred to as Liverpudlians but are also colloquially known as "Scousers", in reference to the local dish known as "scouse", a form of stew. The word "Scouse" has also become synonymous with the Liverpool accent and dialect. Liverpool's status as a port city has contributed to its diverse population, which, historically, were drawn from a wide range of peoples, cultures, and religions, particularly those from Ireland. The city is also home to the oldest Black African community in the country and the oldest Chinese community in Europe.
