SIMON & SIMON’s team of qualified native Vietnamese speaking teachers average 15 years of experience. Professionals and private individuals from all over the UK have benefited from SIMON & SIMON’s Vietnamese language courses, all of which are tailor-made to reflect each student's level of experience. We consistently receive outstanding feedback from our clients about our Vietnamese tutors. Each student is sent a specific profile on the experience and background of their Vietnamese tutor before they start their course of lessons.

New teaching approaches have revolutionised how modern language training is now approached. This training, with more fun and a more worthwhile experience means that it’s a far cry from what you may remember of studying languages in school. When you start a Vietnamese course in Greater Manchester, you will make progress from the very first lesson, as almost everything will be done in Vietnamese. This is known as the Communicative Approach, and means that your confidence and ability will soon grow so that you can use Vietnamese to communicate in social and business settings.

Both 1:1 and group formats are available for our Vietnamese language courses. While most of our clients offer 1:1 Vietnamese training, the group format can offer great value for money. If you want groups to be successful, the members must commit to the weekly meetings and we recommend keeping the number of participants below 7. Progress is faster for those who learn Vietnamese in Greater Manchester on a 1:1 basis as the lessons are individually tailored for their particular needs, strengths and weaknesses.

Vietnamese Course Management

A multi-lingual Account Manager with extensive experience is responsible for each SIMON & SIMON Vietnamese language course. A profile on your trainer, Course Plan and course materials will be sent to you when you start your Vietnamese course. After every 40 hours of training you will receive a Progress Report. We will also send you Breaking the Language Barrier, our quarterly newsletter, which contains a wonderful prize draw and valuable language learning resource weblinks.

We have a global network of language trainers so our Vietnamese language courses can be arranged for almost any major European city, or even further abroad. SIMON & SIMON have run Vietnamese language courses for clients in many diverse locations. Vietnamese language courses can be run in your home for your convenience, but many of our clients prefer to run them in their offices so as to minimise travel. Greater Manchester Vietnamese Course Schedules

Our Vietnamese language courses in Greater Manchester run throughout the year. The majority of our students attend at least one 90-minute session per week and many students will try to do more than one session depending on work commitments. Our Vietnamese teachers are available Monday - Friday from 8am - 8pm, and Weekend Courses can also be arranged on request. Our intensive Vietnamese language courses run for 30 hours per week, (6 hours per day Monday - Friday), and take place on our clients' premises or at a residential centre here in the UK or abroad.

The content of your Vietnamese language course will reflect your level and your particular objectives. We will assess your Vietnamese language level before your course, and discuss with you in detail the subject areas you wish to focus on. You may be a complete beginner looking for day-to-day Vietnamese survival language skills, or a more proficient Vietnamese speaker needing to improve your fluency when discussing areas such as law, banking, finance, insurance, sales, travel, marketing, and administration. You may want to focus on improving your Vietnamese for meetings, discussions and negotiations, or to concentrate on improving your listening comprehension, pronunciation and telephone skills. Whatever your needs, working with one of our highly experienced Vietnamese language trainers you can be confident that the content of your Vietnamese language course will be tailored just for you and that you will soon be meeting your objectives.

Vietnamese Language Examination Courses

We can also help prepare you for Vietnamese examinations of a business or general nature. We are proud to say our students have a 95% pass rate in language examinations, and their success further underlines the value we place on working with Vietnamese teachers in Greater Manchester with above average experience. As part of our service, SIMON & SIMON will also organise the registration and administration of Vietnamese examinations and the issuing of result certificates.

The table below is based on recognised language levels used by various academic institutions accross the European Union. A highly motivated student attending weekly sessions with their language trainer can expect to move from one level to another after 50 hours providing they also commit to a similar number of hours of self-study.

Of course, some people find learning languages easier than others, and some students will have more opportunities to practise the language in the course of their work and leisure, so these factors also need to be considered when trying to assess how long it will take to move from one level to another.

Back to top of Vietnamese Courses Greater Manchester

Vietnamese is the national and official language of Vietnam. It is the mother tongue of 86% of Vietnam's population, and of about three million overseas Vietnamese. It is also spoken as a second language by many ethnic minorities of Vietnam. It is part of the Austro-Asiatic language family, of which it has the most speakers by a significant margin (several times larger than the other Austroasiatic languages put together). Much of Vietnamese vocabulary has been borrowed from Chinese, most notably Cantonese, especially words that denote abstract ideas (in the same way European languages borrow from Latin and Greek), and it was formerly written using the Chinese writing system, albeit in a modified format and was given vernacular pronunciation.

Greater Manchester is a metropolitan county in North West England, with a population of 2.6 million. It encompasses one of the largest metropolitan areas in the United Kingdom and comprises ten metropolitan boroughs: Bolton, Bury, Oldham, Rochdale, Stockport, Tameside, Trafford, Wigan, and the cities of Manchester and Salford. Greater Manchester was created on 1 April 1974 as a result of the Local Government Act 1972. Greater Manchester spans 496 square miles (1,285 km2). It is landlocked and borders Cheshire (to the south-west and south), Derbyshire (to the south-east), West Yorkshire (to the north-east), Lancashire (to the north) and Merseyside (to the west). There is a mix of high density urban areas, suburbs, semi-rural and rural locations in Greater Manchester, but overwhelmingly the land use is urban. It has a focused central business district, formed by Manchester city centre and the adjoining parts of Salford and Trafford, but Greater Manchester is also a polycentric county with ten metropolitan districts, each of which has at least one major town centre and outlying suburbs. The Greater Manchester Urban Area is the third most populous conurbation in the UK, and spans across most of the county's territory. For the 12 years following 1974 the county had a two-tier system of local government; district councils shared power with the Greater Manchester County Council.
