Vietnamese Course Management

SIMON & SIMON’s Vietnamese language courses all have a specific Account Manager who oversee the course. Each of these managers is highly experienced and multi-lingual. At the start of your Vietnamese course, you will receive a profile on your trainer, course materials and a Course Plan. After every 40 hours of training you will receive a Progress Report. The Vietnamese language courses of SIMON & SIMON have been run in numerous locations. As we have a global network of language trainers your Vietnamese language course can be arranged in major cities across Europe and further afield. Most of our clients arrange for their Vietnamese lessons to be run in their offices so that there is less need for travel, but we can also run Vietnamese lessons in your home. We also run residential full-time Vietnamese language courses in a variety of locations which our office will be happy to inform you of.

Belfast Vietnamese Course Schedules

We run Vietnamese language courses in Belfast all year. Most of our students participate in no less than one 90-minute lesson per week, but many students will participate in more if work commitments allow. Weekend Courses can be facilitated, and our Vietnamese weekday courses run from Monday to Friday, from 8am to 8pm. Intensive Vietnamese language courses are also available and can be run at the client’s premises or a residential centre in the UK or overseas. These courses take place over 6 hours a day, Monday through Friday, for 30 hours per week.

Your Vietnamese language course’s content will be tailored to your experience and goals. Prior to the course, we will assess your Vietnamese language level and speak to you comprehensively about the areas and subjects you are interested in. Students may be complete novices who need everyday Vietnamese conversational skills or have more proficiency in Vietnamese and wish to be able to discuss various business topics such as banking or finance more fluently. Students may desire to bolster their Vietnamese for negotiations and meetings or focus on gaining better listening, pronunciation and comprehension skills. No matter what your needs, you can be confident that our very experienced Vietnamese language trainers will work with you on a Vietnamese language course that is tailored for you so that you quickly meet your goals.

Vietnamese Language Examination Courses

Vietnamese examination preparation for business or other examinations can also be assisted with. Our students boast a 95% rate of passing such examinations, proving the value of our policy of Vietnamese teachers in Belfast with experience above the average. The table below is based on recognised language levels used by various academic institutions accross the European Union. A highly motivated student attending weekly sessions with their language trainer can expect to move from one level to another after 50 hours providing they also commit to a similar number of hours of self-study.

Of course, some people find learning languages easier than others, and some students will have more opportunities to practise the language in the course of their work and leisure, so these factors also need to be considered when trying to assess how long it will take to move from one level to another.

Vietnamese is the national and official language of Vietnam. It is the mother tongue of 86% of Vietnam's population, and of about three million overseas Vietnamese. It is also spoken as a second language by many ethnic minorities of Vietnam. It is part of the Austro-Asiatic language family, of which it has the most speakers by a significant margin (several times larger than the other Austroasiatic languages put together). Much of Vietnamese vocabulary has been borrowed from Chinese, most notably Cantonese, especially words that denote abstract ideas (in the same way European languages borrow from Latin and Greek), and it was formerly written using the Chinese writing system, albeit in a modified format and was given vernacular pronunciation.
