All over the UK, private individuals and professionals in a variety of companies have gained benefits by taking part in a Vietnamese Language Course from SIMON & SIMON. With an average of 15 years’ experience, the native Vietnamese speakers of SIMON & SIMON’s qualified teaching team tailor each course for the specific requirements of the student, from absolute novices to those with some experience. Our clients reliably give excellent feedback on our Vietnamese teachers. Each of our students receives an information profile on the background and experience of their Vietnamese teacher before they commence their Vietnamese lessons.

Maybe your only knowledge of studying languages is what you remember from school. Modern language teaching has recently changed to be much more entertaining and rewarding. Your Vietnamese lessons in Ashford will be carried out almost completely in Vietnamese. This is the Communicative Approach and by this method you will notice progress from the initial lesson. You will soon feel confident and able to use Vietnamese to communicate in various business and social situations.

Vietnamese courses from us can be run for groups or individuals. While many of our clients offer their employees Vietnamese courses on a 1:1 basis, group sessions can be excellent value. Group sessions do require planning and commitment from the participants and we recommend that no more than 6 people participate in a group. As 1:1 lessons can be tailored to an individual’s needs, strengths and weaknesses, learning Vietnamese in Ashford on a 1:1 basis will give quicker progress.

Vietnamese Course Management

SIMON & SIMON’s Vietnamese language courses all have a specific Account Manager who oversee the course. Each of these managers is highly experienced and multi-lingual. At the start of your Vietnamese course, you will receive a profile on your trainer, course materials and a Course Plan. After every 40 hours of training you will receive a Progress Report. We will send you our quarterly newsletter, Breaking the Language Barrier, which contains a wonderful prize draw as well as weblinks to valuable language learning resources.

Vietnamese language courses have been run by SIMON & SIMON in many locations. Our global network of language trainers means that any major city in the UK Europe, and beyond can hold your Vietnamese language course. We can arrange your Vietnamese language lessons for your own home, but many of our clients like to run them in their offices so as to minimise travel. Residential full-time Vietnamese language courses are also available. Our office can discuss available locations with you.

Ashford Vietnamese Course Schedules

Our Vietnamese language courses in Ashford go on all year. Some of our students attend more than one 90-minute weekly session if work circumstances allow, and most will attend at least one per week. Weekend Courses in Vietnamese can be arranged on request. Our Vietnamese courses are available 12 hours a day, from 8am to 8pm Monday through Friday. 30 hour per week intensive Vietnamese courses can be held on clients’ premises or in residential centres in the UK or abroad. These courses take 6 hours per day, Monday through Friday.

We will tailor your Vietnamese language course for your specific aims and level of knowledge. Before you start your Vietnamese language course we will assess your goals and level of Vietnamese experience. Your desire to learn Vietnamese may be simply to develop basic skills, or you may have some level of proficiency and wish to increase your ability to use Vietnamese to discuss business. You may want to develop your language skills so that you can use Vietnamese in negotiations and meetings or improve your pronunciation and telephone skills. No matter what goals you have, you can be confident of our Vietnamese trainers experience and that your Vietnamese language course is tailored to your needs and your goals will be quickly met.

Vietnamese Language Examination Courses

Our students’ pass rate for Vietnamese examinations is at 95%, and we are happy to help with the preparations for any such examination. Our high pass rate shows the value of working with Vietnamese teachers in Ashford who have a higher level of experience than average. SIMON & SIMON also arrange registration for Vietnamese examinations as well as administering the examination and issuing the results.

The table below is based on recognised language levels used by various academic institutions accross the European Union. A highly motivated student attending weekly sessions with their language trainer can expect to move from one level to another after 50 hours providing they also commit to a similar number of hours of self-study.

Of course, some people find learning languages easier than others, and some students will have more opportunities to practise the language in the course of their work and leisure, so these factors also need to be considered when trying to assess how long it will take to move from one level to another.

Back to top of Vietnamese Courses Ashford

Vietnamese is the national and official language of Vietnam. It is the mother tongue of 86% of Vietnam's population, and of about three million overseas Vietnamese. It is also spoken as a second language by many ethnic minorities of Vietnam. It is part of the Austro-Asiatic language family, of which it has the most speakers by a significant margin (several times larger than the other Austroasiatic languages put together). Much of Vietnamese vocabulary has been borrowed from Chinese, most notably Cantonese, especially words that denote abstract ideas (in the same way European languages borrow from Latin and Greek), and it was formerly written using the Chinese writing system, albeit in a modified format and was given vernacular pronunciation.

Ashford is a town in the borough of Ashford in Kent, England. In 2005 it was voted the fourth best place to live in the United Kingdom. It lies on the Great Stour river, the M20 motorway, and the South Eastern Main Line and High Speed 1 railways. Its agricultural market is one of the most important in the county. Ashford is a relatively common English place-name: it goes back to Old English æscet, indicating a ford near a clump of ash-trees. As a market town, Ashford has for centuries been a local communications hub for surrounding villages and has stood at the centre of five railway lines, (Ashford to Ramsgate (via Canterbury West) line, Swanley to Ashford (via Maidstone East) Line, South Eastern Main Line, Kent Coast Line and the Marshlink Line) since the 19th century and with the opening of the International Passenger Station is now an important European communications centre, with new lines running between London and the Channel Tunnel (via High Speed 1).
