The feedback on our Turkish tutors that we receive from our clients is consistently excellent. Prior to the start of your Turkish course, you will be sent a profile on your specific Turkish teacher’s experience and background. If the only experience you have of studying a language is from your time in school, you may not know that there has been a revolution in the teaching of modern languages so that it is both more fun and more worthwhile.
Your Turkish teacher in Sussex will be using the Communicative Approach, where your lessons will, with few exceptions, be conducted in Turkish. You will see your progress from that very first lesson and will soon be confident enough to conduct business or talk socially in Turkish. We offer Turkish courses as group sessions or on a 1:1 basis/ Most of our clients offer their employees 1:1 Turkish training, however, if planned carefully, with participants numbering 6 or less who commit to meeting every week, group sessions can be good value for money.
Those who learn Turkish at Sussex on a 1:1 basis will find that they progress more quickly, as the lessons can be specifically tailored for their individual needs, strengths and weaknesses. Turkish Course ManagementA multi-lingual Account Manager with extensive experience is responsible for each SIMON & SIMON Turkish language course.
A profile on your trainer, Course Plan and course materials will be sent to you when you start your Turkish course. After every 40 hours of training you will receive a Progress Report. We will also send you Breaking the Language Barrier, our quarterly newsletter, which contains a wonderful prize draw and valuable language learning resource weblinks. SIMON & SIMON’s Turkish language courses have been run for clients in many different locations. With a global network of language trainers a Turkish language course can be held in almost any major city throughout Europe and elsewhere.
We can arrange Turkish language courses in your home or, as many of our clients prefer, in your offices to remove the need for you to travel.
Full-time residential Turkish language courses are also an option. For a list of locations, please contact our office.
Sussex Turkish Course SchedulesOur Turkish language courses in Sussex run throughout the year. The majority of our students attend at least one 90-minute session per week and many students will try to do more than one session depending on work commitments.
Our Turkish teachers are available Monday - Friday from 8am - 8pm, and Weekend Courses can also be arranged on request.
Our intensive Turkish language courses run for 30 hours per week, (6 hours per day Monday - Friday), and take place on our clients' premises or at a residential centre here in the UK or abroad. The content of your Turkish language course will reflect your level and your particular objectives. We will assess your Turkish language level before your course, and discuss with you in detail the subject areas you wish to focus on.
You may be a complete beginner looking for day-to-day Turkish survival language skills, or a more proficient Turkish speaker needing to improve your fluency when discussing areas such as law, banking, finance, insurance, sales, travel, marketing, and administration.
You may want to focus on improving your Turkish for meetings, discussions and negotiations, or to concentrate on improving your listening comprehension, pronunciation and telephone skills.
Whatever your needs, working with one of our highly experienced Turkish language trainers you can be confident that the content of your Turkish language course will be tailored just for you and that you will soon be meeting your objectives. Turkish Language Examination CoursesWe can also help prepare you for Turkish examinations of a business or general nature. We are proud to say our students have a 95% pass rate in language examinations, and their success further underlines the value we place on working with Turkish teachers in Sussex with above average experience.
As part of our service, SIMON & SIMON will also organise the registration and administration of Turkish examinations and the issuing of result certificates. The table below is based on recognised language levels used by various academic institutions accross the European Union. A highly motivated student attending weekly sessions with their language trainer can expect to move from one level to another after 50 hours providing they also commit to a similar number of hours of self-study.
Of course, some people find learning languages easier than others, and some students will have more opportunities to practise the language in the course of their work and leisure, so these factors also need to be considered when trying to assess how long it will take to move from one level to another.

SIMON & SIMON International Breaking the Language Barrier Back to top of Turkish Courses Sussex Turkish is spoken as a native language by over 83 million people worldwide, making it the most commonly spoken of the Turkic languages. Its speakers are located predominantly in Turkey and Northern Cyprus with smaller groups in Iraq, Greece, Bulgaria, the Republic of Macedonia, Kosovo, Albania and other parts of Eastern Europe. Turkish is also spoken by several million immigrants in Western Europe, particularly in Germany. Sussex is an historic county in South East England corresponding roughly in area to the ancient Kingdom of Sussex. It is bounded on the north by Surrey, east by Kent, south by the English Channel, and west by Hampshire, and is divided for local government into West Sussex and East Sussex and the city of Brighton and Hove. The city of Brighton & Hove was created a unitary authority in 1997; and was granted City status in 2000. Until then Chichester had been Sussex's only city.
The divisions of West Sussex and East Sussex were first established in 1189, and had obtained separate administrations (Quarter Sessions) by the 16th century. This situation was recognised by the County of Sussex Act 1865. Under the Local Government Act 1888 the two divisions became two administrative counties (along with three county boroughs: Brighton, Hastings and, from 1911, Eastbourne).
The appellation Sussex remained in use as a ceremonial county until 1974, when the Lord-Lieutenant of Sussex was replaced with one each for East and West Sussex. The whole of Sussex has had a single police force since 1968.
