Professionals and private individuals from all over the UK have benefited from SIMON & SIMON’s Turkish language courses, all of which are tailor-made to reflect each student's level of experience.
We consistently receive outstanding feedback from our clients about our Turkish tutors. Each student is sent a specific profile on the experience and background of their Turkish tutor before they start their course of lessons. New teaching approaches have revolutionised how modern language training is now approached. This training, with more fun and a more worthwhile experience means that it’s a far cry from what you may remember of studying languages in school.
When you start a Turkish course in Essex, you will make progress from the very first lesson, as almost everything will be done in Turkish. This is known as the Communicative Approach, and means that your confidence and ability will soon grow so that you can use Turkish to communicate in social and business settings. Our Turkish language courses are available on both a 1:1 and group basis, but the majority of our clients offer 1:1 Turkish training to their employees. However, with careful planning, group training can offer great value for money, provided there is a real commitment from the participants to get together at the same time every week. We strongly recommend you keep group numbers to 6 or less for these types of courses to be successful.
Those learning Turkish in at Essex on a 1:1 basis will naturally make much faster progress, as the course will be designed around their individual needs and focus on their particular strengths and weaknesses. Turkish Course ManagementEvery SIMON & SIMON Turkish language course has a highly experienced, multi-lingual Account Manager who oversees it.
When your Turkish course starts you will be sent a profile on your trainer, materials for your course and a Course Plan as well as a Progress Report for every 40 hours of training. Breaking the Language Barrier, our quarterly newsletter that you will also receive, contains a prize draw as well as weblinks to a number of learning resources. The Turkish language courses of SIMON & SIMON have been run in numerous locations. As we have a global network of language trainers your Turkish language course can be arranged in major cities across Europe and further afield.
Most of our clients arrange for their Turkish lessons to be run in their offices so that there is less need for travel, but we can also run Turkish lessons in your home.
We also run residential full-time Turkish language courses in a variety of locations which our office will be happy to inform you of. Essex Turkish Course SchedulesOur Turkish language courses in Essex run throughout the year. The majority of our students attend at least one 90-minute session per week and many students will try to do more than one session depending on work commitments.
Our Turkish teachers are available Monday - Friday from 8am - 8pm, and Weekend Courses can also be arranged on request.
Our intensive Turkish language courses run for 30 hours per week, (6 hours per day Monday - Friday), and take place on our clients' premises or at a residential centre here in the UK or abroad. The content of your Turkish language course will reflect your level and your particular objectives. We will assess your Turkish language level before your course, and discuss with you in detail the subject areas you wish to focus on.
You may be a complete beginner looking for day-to-day Turkish survival language skills, or a more proficient Turkish speaker needing to improve your fluency when discussing areas such as law, banking, finance, insurance, sales, travel, marketing, and administration.
You may want to focus on improving your Turkish for meetings, discussions and negotiations, or to concentrate on improving your listening comprehension, pronunciation and telephone skills.
Whatever your needs, working with one of our highly experienced Turkish language trainers you can be confident that the content of your Turkish language course will be tailored just for you and that you will soon be meeting your objectives. Turkish Language Examination CoursesWe can also help prepare you for Turkish examinations of a business or general nature. We are proud to say our students have a 95% pass rate in language examinations, and their success further underlines the value we place on working with Turkish teachers in Essex with above average experience.
As part of our service, SIMON & SIMON will also organise the registration and administration of Turkish examinations and the issuing of result certificates. The table below is based on recognised language levels used by various academic institutions accross the European Union. A highly motivated student attending weekly sessions with their language trainer can expect to move from one level to another after 50 hours providing they also commit to a similar number of hours of self-study.
Of course, some people find learning languages easier than others, and some students will have more opportunities to practise the language in the course of their work and leisure, so these factors also need to be considered when trying to assess how long it will take to move from one level to another.

SIMON & SIMON International Breaking the Language Barrier Back to top of Turkish Courses Essex Turkish is spoken as a native language by over 83 million people worldwide, making it the most commonly spoken of the Turkic languages. Its speakers are located predominantly in Turkey and Northern Cyprus with smaller groups in Iraq, Greece, Bulgaria, the Republic of Macedonia, Kosovo, Albania and other parts of Eastern Europe. Turkish is also spoken by several million immigrants in Western Europe, particularly in Germany. Essex is a ceremonial and non-metropolitan county in the East region of England, and one of the home counties. It is located to the northeast of Greater London and is one of the most populous counties in England. Essex County Council is the principal local authority for much of the county, sharing functions with twelve district councils.
The county town is Chelmsford. The southern Essex boroughs of Thurrock and Southend-on-Sea are governed separately as unitary authorities. It was established in antiquity and formed the eastern portion of the Kingdom of Essex. Sections of the county closer to London are part of the Metropolitan Green Belt, which prohibits development. It is the location of the regionally significant Lakeside Shopping Centre and London Stansted Airport; and the new towns of Basildon and Harlow.
The name Essex originates in the Anglo-Saxon period of the Early Middle Ages and has its root in the Old English Ēastseaxe (i.e. the "East Saxons"), the eastern kingdom of the Saxons.
