Turkish Courses for Business in Chester

Please click a title below for further information:

SIMON & SIMON’s team of qualified native Turkish speaking teachers average 15 years of experience. Professionals and private individuals from all over the UK have benefited from SIMON & SIMON’s Turkish language courses, all of which are tailor-made to reflect each student's level of experience. We consistently receive outstanding feedback from our clients about our Turkish tutors. Each student is sent a specific profile on the experience and background of their Turkish tutor before they start their course of lessons.

Modern language teaching is now approached much differently to how you might remember learning languages in school. The experience is now much more fun and rewarding. The Communicative Approach, where your Turkish teacher will conduct your lessons almost entirely in Turkish means that progress is made from your very first lesson. Soon, you will have such confidence that using Turkish in a social or business setting will be no problem.

Turkish courses from us can be run for groups or individuals. While many of our clients offer their employees Turkish courses on a 1:1 basis, group sessions can be excellent value. Group sessions do require planning and commitment from the participants and we recommend that no more than 6 people participate in a group. As 1:1 lessons can be tailored to an individual’s needs, strengths and weaknesses, learning Turkish in Chester on a 1:1 basis will give quicker progress.

Turkish Course Management

Each of SIMON & SIMON’s Turkish languages courses is the responsibility of a multi-lingual, very experienced Account Manager. When you start your Turkish course, you will receive your trainer’s profile. Thereafter we will send you a Course Plan, materials for the course and, after each 40 hours of training, a Progress Report. Our quarterly newsletter, Breaking the Language Barrier, will also reach you, and contains a prize draw as well as the weblinks of language learning resources.

We have a global network of language trainers so our Turkish language courses can be arranged for almost any major European city, or even further abroad. SIMON & SIMON have run Turkish language courses for clients in many diverse locations. Turkish language courses can be run in your home for your convenience, but many of our clients prefer to run them in their offices so as to minimise travel. For a list of the locations of the full-time residential Turkish language courses that we offer, contact our office.

Chester Turkish Course Schedules

The Turkish language courses in Chester that we run go on through the year. Each week, most of our students will attend at least one of our 90-minute lessons, but many will do more. We can easily arrange Weekend Courses for you. Turkish courses run from Monday to Friday, any time from 8am to 8pm. Intensive Turkish language courses can be arranged in residential centres abroad or in the UK, or on clients’ premises for 30 hours per week, 6 hours a day Monday to Friday.

Before you start your Turkish language course we will assess your level of Turkish and speak to you about your aims so that your Turkish language course can be customised for you. You may have never been exposed to Turkish before and wish to develop basic survival skills, or you may have some experience and wish to be able to speak more fluently in Turkish when discussing business. You may want to further your ability to use Turkish in negotiations and meetings or better your comprehension and pronunciation abilities. Whatever goals you may have, our experienced Turkish language trainers will tailor your Turkish course so that your goals can be quickly met.

Turkish Language Examination Courses

We are happy to help in your preparation for any Turkish examinations. Our students have a 95% pass rate and we think that their success shows the value of our policy of working with above-average experienced Turkish teachers in Chester. Issuing of results certificates, registration for Turkish examinations and administration of such exams is also provided by SIMON & SIMON.

The table below is based on recognised language levels used by various academic institutions accross the European Union. A highly motivated student attending weekly sessions with their language trainer can expect to move from one level to another after 50 hours providing they also commit to a similar number of hours of self-study.

Of course, some people find learning languages easier than others, and some students will have more opportunities to practise the language in the course of their work and leisure, so these factors also need to be considered when trying to assess how long it will take to move from one level to another.

Turkish is spoken as a native language by over 83 million people worldwide, making it the most commonly spoken of the Turkic languages. Its speakers are located predominantly in Turkey and Northern Cyprus with smaller groups in Iraq, Greece, Bulgaria, the Republic of Macedonia, Kosovo, Albania and other parts of Eastern Europe. Turkish is also spoken by several million immigrants in Western Europe, particularly in Germany.

Chester is a city in Cheshire, England. Lying on the River Dee, close to the border with Wales, it is home to 77,040 inhabitants, and is the largest and most populous settlement of the wider unitary authority area of Cheshire West and Chester, which had a population of 328,100 according to the 2001 Census. Chester was granted city status in 1541. Chester was founded as a "castrum" or Roman fort with the name Deva Victrix in the year 79 by the Roman Legio II Adiutrix during the reign of the Emperor Vespasian. Chester's four main roads, Eastgate, Northgate, Watergate and Bridge, follow routes laid out at this time – almost 2,000 years ago. One of the three main Roman army bases, Deva later became a major settlement in the Roman province of Britannia. After the Romans left in the 5th century, the Saxons fortified the town against the Danes and gave Chester its name. The patron saint of Chester, Werburgh, is buried in Chester Cathedral. Chester was one of the last towns in England to fall to the Normans in the Norman conquest of England. William the Conqueror ordered the construction of a castle, to dominate the town and the nearby Welsh border. In 1071 he created Hugh d'Avranches, the 1st Earl of Chester. Chester has a number of medieval buildings, but some of the black-and-white buildings within the city centre are actually Victorian restorations.
