Private individuals and professionals in companies all over the UK have profited from undertaking a Turkish Language Course with SIMON & SIMON. Averaging 15 years of experience, our native Turkish speaking qualified teachers construct your course so that your individual requirements are met, no matter what your level of experience. Our Turkish teachers receive excellent feedback from our clients. A profile, containing information about the Turkish teacher’s background and experience, is sent to each student before the Turkish lessons start.

Modern language teaching is now approached much differently to how you might remember learning languages in school. The experience is now much more fun and rewarding. The Communicative Approach, where your Turkish teacher will conduct your lessons almost entirely in Turkish means that progress is made from your very first lesson. Soon, you will have such confidence that using Turkish in a social or business setting will be no problem.

Our Turkish courses are usually offered by our clients as 1:1 training for their employees. Group sessions, however, are also available and can be excellent value for money. Planning is required so that participants all meet at the same time each week, and we recommend that numbers are kept to 6 or less. 1:1 Turkish lessons at Bedfordshire mean that you will have your individual needs, weaknesses and strengths catered for, so that your progress is quicker.

Turkish Course Management

Every SIMON & SIMON Turkish language course has a highly experienced, multi-lingual Account Manager who oversees it. When your Turkish course starts you will be sent a profile on your trainer, materials for your course and a Course Plan as well as a Progress Report for every 40 hours of training. Breaking the Language Barrier, our quarterly newsletter that you will also receive, contains a prize draw as well as weblinks to a number of learning resources.

The Turkish language courses of SIMON & SIMON have been run in numerous locations. As we have a global network of language trainers your Turkish language course can be arranged in major cities across Europe and further afield. Most of our clients arrange for their Turkish lessons to be run in their offices so that there is less need for travel, but we can also run Turkish lessons in your home. We also run residential full-time Turkish language courses in a variety of locations which our office will be happy to inform you of.

Bedfordshire Turkish Course Schedules

We run our Turkish language courses in Bedfordshire all through the year. Many of our students, if work commitments allow, will attend more than one session weekly, and the vast majority take part in at least one 90-minute lesson weekly. We also arrange weekend Turkish courses on request. Our Turkish programs commence from 8am to 8pm Monday to Friday. Intensive 30 hour per week Turkish language courses, held on clients’ premises or at residential centres in the UK or abroad, are also available on a 6 hours per day basis, Monday through Friday.

Whatever your personal level of experience and future goals, your Turkish course will be customised for you. Before you start the course we will assess your level of Turkish and discuss in detail what you would like to focus on. You may desire simply to gain everyday Turkish skills from the level of a complete beginner, or you may have more experience in Turkish and want to improve your ability to discuss banking, finance or marketing. You may want to develop improved pronunciation and comprehension skills or improve your Turkish for use in negotiations and meetings. Whatever your goals and needs, our highly experienced Turkish language trainers will tailor your Turkish course so that your goals will be met quickly.

Turkish Language Examination Courses

If you are taking a Turkish examination, for business or other reasons, we are happy to help you with your preparations. We are very proud of the 95% pass rate of our students in language examinations. We believe this highlights the value of working with Turkish teachers in Bedfordshire whose experience is above average. SIMON & SIMON can also register you for your Turkish examination, administer the examination and issue you your results.

The table below is based on recognised language levels used by various academic institutions accross the European Union. A highly motivated student attending weekly sessions with their language trainer can expect to move from one level to another after 50 hours providing they also commit to a similar number of hours of self-study.

Of course, some people find learning languages easier than others, and some students will have more opportunities to practise the language in the course of their work and leisure, so these factors also need to be considered when trying to assess how long it will take to move from one level to another.

Back to top of Turkish Courses Bedfordshire

Turkish is spoken as a native language by over 83 million people worldwide, making it the most commonly spoken of the Turkic languages. Its speakers are located predominantly in Turkey and Northern Cyprus with smaller groups in Iraq, Greece, Bulgaria, the Republic of Macedonia, Kosovo, Albania and other parts of Eastern Europe. Turkish is also spoken by several million immigrants in Western Europe, particularly in Germany.

Bedfordshire is a ceremonial county of historic origin in England that forms part of the East of England region. It borders Cambridgeshire to the north-east, Northamptonshire to the north, Buckinghamshire to the west and Hertfordshire to the south-east. The highest elevation point is 243 metres (797 ft) on Dunstable Downs in the Chilterns. As part of a 2002 marketing campaign, the plant conservation charity Plantlife chose the Bee Orchid as the county flower. The traditional nickname for people from Bedfordshire is "Bedfordshire Bulldogs" or "Clangers", this last deriving from a local dish comprising a suet crust dumpling filled with meat or jam or both. The first recorded use of the name was in 1011 as "Bedanfordscir," meaning the shire or county of Bedford, which itself means "Beda's ford" (river crossing). Bedfordshire was historically divided into the nine hundreds: Barford, Biggleswade, Clifton, Flitt, Manshead, Redbournestoke, Stodden, Willey, Wixamtree, along with the liberty and borough of Bedford. There have been several minor changes to the county boundary; for example, in 1897 Kensworth and part of Caddington were transferred from Hertfordshire to Bedfordshire.
