Thai Courses for Business in HarrogatePlease click a title below for further information: All over the UK, private individuals and professionals in a variety of companies have gained benefits by taking part in a Thai Language Course from SIMON & SIMON. With an average of 15 years’ experience, the native Thai speakers of SIMON & SIMON’s qualified teaching team tailor each course for the specific requirements of the student, from absolute novices to those with some experience.
Our clients reliably give excellent feedback on our Thai teachers. Each of our students receives an information profile on the background and experience of their Thai teacher before they commence their Thai lessons. The way that modern languages are taught has gone through a revolution in the past few years. If you have only learned languages at school you will find that the experience now is vastly more fun and worthwhile.
The Communicative Approach means that your Thai lessons in Harrogate will be almost entirely through the medium of Thai. You will feel that you are making real progress, even in the first lesson, and will soon communicate in Thai with confidence, in a range of social and business environments. Our Thai language courses are available on both a 1:1 and group basis, but the majority of our clients offer 1:1 Thai training to their employees. However, with careful planning, group training can offer great value for money, provided there is a real commitment from the participants to get together at the same time every week. We strongly recommend you keep group numbers to 6 or less for these types of courses to be successful.
Those learning Thai in at Harrogate on a 1:1 basis will naturally make much faster progress, as the course will be designed around their individual needs and focus on their particular strengths and weaknesses. Thai Course ManagementEach of SIMON & SIMON’s Thai languages courses is the responsibility of a multi-lingual, very experienced Account Manager.
When you start your Thai course, you will receive your trainer’s profile. Thereafter we will send you a Course Plan, materials for the course and, after each 40 hours of training, a Progress Report. Our quarterly newsletter, Breaking the Language Barrier, will also reach you, and contains a prize draw as well as the weblinks of language learning resources. The Thai language courses of SIMON & SIMON have been run in numerous locations. As we have a global network of language trainers your Thai language course can be arranged in major cities across Europe and further afield.
Most of our clients arrange for their Thai lessons to be run in their offices so that there is less need for travel, but we can also run Thai lessons in your home.
We also run residential full-time Thai language courses in a variety of locations which our office will be happy to inform you of. Harrogate Thai Course SchedulesThe Thai language courses in Harrogate that we run go on through the year. Each week, most of our students will attend at least one of our 90-minute lessons, but many will do more.
We can easily arrange Weekend Courses for you. Thai courses run from Monday to Friday, any time from 8am to 8pm.
Intensive Thai language courses can be arranged in residential centres abroad or in the UK, or on clients’ premises for 30 hours per week, 6 hours a day Monday to Friday. Before you start your Thai language course we will assess your level of Thai and speak to you about your aims so that your Thai language course can be customised for you. You may have never been exposed to Thai before and wish to develop basic survival skills, or you may have some experience and wish to be able to speak more fluently in Thai when discussing business. You may want to further your ability to use Thai in negotiations and meetings or better your comprehension and pronunciation abilities. Whatever goals you may have, our experienced Thai language trainers will tailor your Thai course so that your goals can be quickly met. Thai Language Examination CoursesWe are happy to help in your preparation for any Thai examinations. Our students have a 95% pass rate and we think that their success shows the value of our policy of working with above-average experienced Thai teachers in Harrogate.
Issuing of results certificates, registration for Thai examinations and administration of such exams is also provided by SIMON & SIMON. The table below is based on recognised language levels used by various academic institutions accross the European Union. A highly motivated student attending weekly sessions with their language trainer can expect to move from one level to another after 50 hours providing they also commit to a similar number of hours of self-study.
Of course, some people find learning languages easier than others, and some students will have more opportunities to practise the language in the course of their work and leisure, so these factors also need to be considered when trying to assess how long it will take to move from one level to another.

SIMON & SIMON International Breaking the Language Barrier Back to top of Thai Courses Harrogate Thai is the national and official language of Thailand and the native language of the Thai people, Thailand's dominant ethnic group. Thai is a member of the Tai group of the Tai-Kadai language family. Historical linguists have been unable to definitively link the Tai-Kadai languages to any other language family. Some words in Thai are borrowed from Pali, Sanskrit and Old Khmer. It is a tonal and analytic language. Thai also has a complex orthography and relational markers. Thai is mutually intelligible with Lao, whereas the Isaan dialect is almost the same as Lao. Harrogate (or Harrogate Spa) is a spa town in North Yorkshire, England. The town is a tourist destination and some of its visitor attractions include its spa waters, RHS Harlow Carr gardens, and Bettys Tea Rooms, that internationally sells Fat Rascals. The town serves as a location from which to explore the nearby Yorkshire Dales national park. Harrogate originated in the 17th century, with High Harrogate and Low Harrogate as two separate settlements. It lies adjacent to Knaresborough, with which it forms a single urban area, and is in the Nidd valley.
Harrogate spa water contains iron, sulphur and common salt. The town became known as 'The English Spa' in the Georgian Era, after its waters were first discovered in the sixteenth century. In the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries especially, these 'chalybeate' waters (i.e. containing iron) were a popular health treatment, and the influx of wealthy but sickly visitors contributed significantly to the wealth of the town.
Harrogate railway station and Harrogate bus station in the town centre provide transport connections. Leeds Bradford International Airport is 10 miles (16 km) south west of Harrogate. The main road through the town is the A61, connecting Harrogate to Leeds and Ripon. Harrogate is also connected to Wetherby and the A1, by the A661.
