Thai Courses for Business in BirminghamPlease click a title below for further information: Both professionals and non-professionals alike have seen great benefits from a SIMON & SIMON Thai Language Course. SIMON & SIMON’s team of qualified Thai teachers is made up of native speakers who average 15 years of experience. These teachers will make sure that a course is tailored for your specific needs so that you will benefit regardless of your language proficiency.
Feedback from clients on our Thai tutors is consistently highly positive. Our students are sent a profile containing information on their specific teacher’s experience and background before the start of their Thai Lessons. If the only experience you have of studying a language is from your time in school, you may not know that there has been a revolution in the teaching of modern languages so that it is both more fun and more worthwhile.
Your Thai teacher in Birmingham will be using the Communicative Approach, where your lessons will, with few exceptions, be conducted in Thai. You will see your progress from that very first lesson and will soon be confident enough to conduct business or talk socially in Thai. The Thai courses that we offer can be run as 1:1 or group sessions. While most of our clients use 1:1 Thai training for their employees, group sessions can be good value. Participants numbers should be kept to 6 or less, and they will need to commit to meeting every week.
If you require faster progress, 1:1 Thai courses at Birmingham are more suitable as the lessons and course can be tailored to the individual’s needs while focusing on their specific weaknesses and strengths. Thai Course ManagementOne of our highly experienced, multilingual Account managers oversees each SIMON & SIMON Thai language course.
On starting your Thai course you will receive various materials including a profile on your trainer, a Course Plan and course materials and a Progress Report on every 40 hours of your training. Breaking the Language Barrier, our quarterly newsletter, which contains weblinks to various language learning sources and a prize draw, will also be sent to you. SIMON & SIMON has arranged Thai language courses for clients in numerous locations, and with our global network of language trainers we can organise a Thai language course for you wherever you are - in almost any major city in the UK, Europe and beyond.
The vast majority of our Thai lessons take place at our clients' offices, removing the need for you to travel, but Thai lessons can take place in your home if that is more convenient.
We can also arrange full-time residential Thai language courses for you - just contact our office for information on available destinations. Birmingham Thai Course SchedulesWe run Thai language courses in Birmingham all year. Most of our students participate in no less than one 90-minute lesson per week, but many students will participate in more if work commitments allow.
Weekend Courses can be facilitated, and our Thai weekday courses run from Monday to Friday, from 8am to 8pm.
Intensive Thai language courses are also available and can be run at the client’s premises or a residential centre in the UK or overseas. These courses take place over 6 hours a day, Monday through Friday, for 30 hours per week. Your Thai language course’s content will be tailored to your experience and goals. Prior to the course, we will assess your Thai language level and speak to you comprehensively about the areas and subjects you are interested in.
Students may be complete novices who need everyday Thai conversational skills or have more proficiency in Thai and wish to be able to discuss various business topics such as banking or finance more fluently.
Students may desire to bolster their Thai for negotiations and meetings or focus on gaining better listening, pronunciation and comprehension skills.
No matter what your needs, you can be confident that our very experienced Thai language trainers will work with you on a Thai language course that is tailored for you so that you quickly meet your goals. Thai Language Examination CoursesThai examination preparation for business or other examinations can also be assisted with. Our students boast a 95% rate of passing such examinations, proving the value of our policy of Thai teachers in Birmingham with experience above the average.
SIMON & SIMON also organises registration and administration of Thai examinations as well as issuing results certificates as a part of our service. The table below is based on recognised language levels used by various academic institutions accross the European Union. A highly motivated student attending weekly sessions with their language trainer can expect to move from one level to another after 50 hours providing they also commit to a similar number of hours of self-study.
Of course, some people find learning languages easier than others, and some students will have more opportunities to practise the language in the course of their work and leisure, so these factors also need to be considered when trying to assess how long it will take to move from one level to another.

SIMON & SIMON International Breaking the Language Barrier Back to top of Thai Courses Birmingham Thai is the national and official language of Thailand and the native language of the Thai people, Thailand's dominant ethnic group. Thai is a member of the Tai group of the Tai-Kadai language family. Historical linguists have been unable to definitively link the Tai-Kadai languages to any other language family. Some words in Thai are borrowed from Pali, Sanskrit and Old Khmer. It is a tonal and analytic language. Thai also has a complex orthography and relational markers. Thai is mutually intelligible with Lao, whereas the Isaan dialect is almost the same as Lao. Birmingham is a city and metropolitan borough in the West Midlands county of England. It is the most populous British city outside London, with a population of 1,028,700 (2009 estimate), and lies at the heart of the West Midlands conurbation, the United Kingdom's second most populous urban area with a population of 2,284,093 (2001 census). Birmingham's metropolitan area, which includes surrounding towns to which it is closely tied through commuting, is also the United Kingdom's second most populous with a population of 3,683,000.
Birmingham was a powerhouse of the Industrial Revolution in England, a fact which led to it being known as "the workshop of the world" or the "city of a thousand trades". Although Birmingham's industrial importance has declined, it has developed into a national commercial centre, being named in 2010 as the third-best place in the United Kingdom to locate a business. Birmingham is a national hub for conferences, retail and events along with an established high tech, research and development sector, supported by its three Universities. It is also the fourth-most visited city by foreign visitors in the UK, has the second-largest city economy in the UK. Birmingham is ranked as a gamma- world city by the Globalization and World Cities Research Network.
In 2010, Birmingham was ranked as the 55th-most livable city in the world, according to the Mercer Index of worldwide standards of living.
