SIMON & SIMON’s team of qualified native Swedish speaking teachers average 15 years of experience. Professionals and private individuals from all over the UK have benefited from SIMON & SIMON’s Swedish language courses, all of which are tailor-made to reflect each student's level of experience. We consistently receive outstanding feedback from our clients about our Swedish tutors. Each student is sent a specific profile on the experience and background of their Swedish tutor before they start their course of lessons.

The way that modern languages are taught has gone through a revolution in the past few years. If you have only learned languages at school you will find that the experience now is vastly more fun and worthwhile. The Communicative Approach means that your Swedish lessons in Wolverhampton will be almost entirely through the medium of Swedish. You will feel that you are making real progress, even in the first lesson, and will soon communicate in Swedish with confidence, in a range of social and business environments.

We offer Swedish courses as group sessions or on a 1:1 basis/ Most of our clients offer their employees 1:1 Swedish training, however, if planned carefully, with participants numbering 6 or less who commit to meeting every week, group sessions can be good value for money. Those who learn Swedish at Wolverhampton on a 1:1 basis will find that they progress more quickly, as the lessons can be specifically tailored for their individual needs, strengths and weaknesses.

Swedish Course Management

Every SIMON & SIMON Swedish language course is overseen by one of our highly experienced Account Managers, all of whom are multi-lingual. At the start of your Swedish language course we will send you a profile on your trainer, followed by a Course Plan and relevant course materials, and then a Progress Report after every 40 hours of training. You will also receive a copy of our quarterly newsletter, Breaking the Language Barrier, featuring a superb prize draw and invaluable weblinks to language learning sources.

The Swedish language courses of SIMON & SIMON have been run in numerous locations. As we have a global network of language trainers your Swedish language course can be arranged in major cities across Europe and further afield. Most of our clients arrange for their Swedish lessons to be run in their offices so that there is less need for travel, but we can also run Swedish lessons in your home. We also run residential full-time Swedish language courses in a variety of locations which our office will be happy to inform you of.

Wolverhampton Swedish Course Schedules

Our Swedish language courses in Wolverhampton go on all year. Some of our students attend more than one 90-minute weekly session if work circumstances allow, and most will attend at least one per week. Weekend Courses in Swedish can be arranged on request. Our Swedish courses are available 12 hours a day, from 8am to 8pm Monday through Friday. 30 hour per week intensive Swedish courses can be held on clients’ premises or in residential centres in the UK or abroad. These courses take 6 hours per day, Monday through Friday.

We will tailor your Swedish language course for your specific aims and level of knowledge. Before you start your Swedish language course we will assess your goals and level of Swedish experience. Your desire to learn Swedish may be simply to develop basic skills, or you may have some level of proficiency and wish to increase your ability to use Swedish to discuss business. You may want to develop your language skills so that you can use Swedish in negotiations and meetings or improve your pronunciation and telephone skills. No matter what goals you have, you can be confident of our Swedish trainers experience and that your Swedish language course is tailored to your needs and your goals will be quickly met.

Swedish Language Examination Courses

Our students’ pass rate for Swedish examinations is at 95%, and we are happy to help with the preparations for any such examination. Our high pass rate shows the value of working with Swedish teachers in Wolverhampton who have a higher level of experience than average. SIMON & SIMON also arrange registration for Swedish examinations as well as administering the examination and issuing the results.

The table below is based on recognised language levels used by various academic institutions accross the European Union. A highly motivated student attending weekly sessions with their language trainer can expect to move from one level to another after 50 hours providing they also commit to a similar number of hours of self-study.

Of course, some people find learning languages easier than others, and some students will have more opportunities to practise the language in the course of their work and leisure, so these factors also need to be considered when trying to assess how long it will take to move from one level to another.

Back to top of Swedish Courses Wolverhampton

Swedish is a North Germanic language, spoken by approximately 10 million people, predominantly in Sweden and parts of Finland, especially along its coast and on the Åland islands. It is, to a considerable extent, mutually intelligible with Norwegian and to a lesser extent with Danish. Along with the other North Germanic languages, Swedish is a descendant of Old Norse, the common language of the Germanic peoples living in Scandinavia during the Viking Era. It is currently the largest of the North Germanic languages by numbers of speakers.

Wolverhampton is a city and metropolitan borough in the West Midlands, England. In 2004, the local government district had an estimated population of 239,100; the wider Urban Area had a population of 251,462, which makes it the 13th most populous city in England. Historically a part of Staffordshire, and forming part of the metropolitan county of the West Midlands from 1974, the city is commonly recognised as being named after Lady Wulfrun, who founded the town in 985: its name coming from Anglo-Saxon Wulfrūnehēantūn = "Wulfrūn's high or principal enclosure or farm".Alternatively, the city may have earned its original name from Wulfereēantūn = "Wulfhere's high or principal enclosure or farm" after the Mercian King.Nevertheless, the name Wulfrun is commonly used in the city – for example, for the Wulfrun Centre or for Wulfrun Hall. The city's name is often abbreviated to Wolvo "W'ton" or "Wolves". The city council's motto is "Out of darkness, cometh light". People from Wolverhampton are known as Wulfrunians. The city grew initially as a market town with specialism within the woollen trade. During and after the Industrial Revolution, the city became a major industrial centre, with mining (mostly coal, limestone and iron ore) as well as production of steel, japanning, locks, motorcycles and cars – including the first vehicle to hold the Land speed record at over 200 mph. Today, the major industries within the city are both engineering based (including a large aerospace industry) and within the service sector.
