Your desire to learn Swedish may be simply to develop basic skills, or you may have some level of proficiency and wish to increase your ability to use Swedish to discuss business.
You may want to develop your language skills so that you can use Swedish in negotiations and meetings or improve your pronunciation and telephone skills.

Swedish Language Examination CoursesOur students’ pass rate for Swedish examinations is at 95%, and we are happy to help with the preparations for any such examination. Our high pass rate shows the value of working with Swedish teachers in Winchester who have a higher level of experience than average.
SIMON & SIMON also arrange registration for Swedish examinations as well as administering the examination and issuing the results. The table below is based on recognised language levels used by various academic institutions accross the European Union. A highly motivated student attending weekly sessions with their language trainer can expect to move from one level to another after 50 hours providing they also commit to a similar number of hours of self-study.
Of course, some people find learning languages easier than others, and some students will have more opportunities to practise the language in the course of their work and leisure, so these factors also need to be considered when trying to assess how long it will take to move from one level to another.

SIMON & SIMON International Breaking the Language Barrier Back to top of Swedish Courses Winchester Swedish is a North Germanic language, spoken by approximately 10 million people, predominantly in Sweden and parts of Finland, especially along its coast and on the Åland islands. It is, to a considerable extent, mutually intelligible with Norwegian and to a lesser extent with Danish. Along with the other North Germanic languages, Swedish is a descendant of Old Norse, the common language of the Germanic peoples living in Scandinavia during the Viking Era. It is currently the largest of the North Germanic languages by numbers of speakers. Winchester is the county town of Hampshire, in South East England. It lies at the heart of the wider City of Winchester, a local government district, and is located at the western end of the South Downs, along the course of the River Itchen. At the time of the 2001 Census, Winchester had a population of 41,420.
Archaically known as Winton and Wintonceastre, Winchester is a historic cathedral city and the ancient capital of Wessex and the Kingdom of England. It developed from the Roman town of Venta Belgarum. Winchester's major landmark is Winchester Cathedral, one of the largest cathedrals in England, with the distinction of having the longest nave and overall length of all Gothic cathedrals in Europe. The town is also home to Winchester University and Winchester College - famous Public School. Winchester railway station is served by trains running from London Waterloo, Weymouth, Portsmouth, Southampton and the North. The city's architectural and historic interest, and its fast links to other towns and cities have led Winchester to become one of the most expensive and desirable areas of the country. A person who is from or resides in Winchester is locally known as a Wintonian.
