All over the UK, private individuals and professionals in a variety of companies have gained benefits by taking part in a Swedish Language Course from SIMON & SIMON. With an average of 15 years’ experience, the native Swedish speakers of SIMON & SIMON’s qualified teaching team tailor each course for the specific requirements of the student, from absolute novices to those with some experience. Our clients reliably give excellent feedback on our Swedish teachers. Each of our students receives an information profile on the background and experience of their Swedish teacher before they commence their Swedish lessons.

If you have only studied languages before at school you will find that teaching approaches to modern language training have changed enormously in recent years - it's now a lot more fun and a far more rewarding experience! Your teacher will conduct your Swedish lesson in Stratford-upon-Avon almost entirely in Swedish - a method known as the Communicative Approach - and you will find yourself making progress from the very first lesson and soon growing in the confidence to communicate in Swedish in a variety of social and business situations.

The Swedish courses that we offer can be run as 1:1 or group sessions. While most of our clients use 1:1 Swedish training for their employees, group sessions can be good value. Participants numbers should be kept to 6 or less, and they will need to commit to meeting every week. If you require faster progress, 1:1 Swedish courses at Stratford-upon-Avon are more suitable as the lessons and course can be tailored to the individual’s needs while focusing on their specific weaknesses and strengths.

Swedish Course Management

Every SIMON & SIMON Swedish language course is overseen by one of our highly experienced Account Managers, all of whom are multi-lingual. At the start of your Swedish language course we will send you a profile on your trainer, followed by a Course Plan and relevant course materials, and then a Progress Report after every 40 hours of training. You will also receive a copy of our quarterly newsletter, Breaking the Language Barrier, featuring a superb prize draw and invaluable weblinks to language learning sources.

SIMON & SIMON has arranged Swedish language courses for clients in numerous locations, and with our global network of language trainers we can organise a Swedish language course for you wherever you are - in almost any major city in the UK, Europe and beyond. The vast majority of our Swedish lessons take place at our clients' offices, removing the need for you to travel, but Swedish lessons can take place in your home if that is more convenient. We can also arrange full-time residential Swedish language courses for you - just contact our office for information on available destinations.

Stratford-upon-Avon Swedish Course Schedules

Before you start your Swedish language course we will assess your level of Swedish and speak to you about your aims so that your Swedish language course can be customised for you. You may have never been exposed to Swedish before and wish to develop basic survival skills, or you may have some experience and wish to be able to speak more fluently in Swedish when discussing business. You may want to further your ability to use Swedish in negotiations and meetings or better your comprehension and pronunciation abilities. Swedish Language Examination Courses

We are happy to help in your preparation for any Swedish examinations. Our students have a 95% pass rate and we think that their success shows the value of our policy of working with above-average experienced Swedish teachers in Stratford-upon-Avon. Issuing of results certificates, registration for Swedish examinations and administration of such exams is also provided by SIMON & SIMON.

The table below is based on recognised language levels used by various academic institutions accross the European Union. A highly motivated student attending weekly sessions with their language trainer can expect to move from one level to another after 50 hours providing they also commit to a similar number of hours of self-study.

Of course, some people find learning languages easier than others, and some students will have more opportunities to practise the language in the course of their work and leisure, so these factors also need to be considered when trying to assess how long it will take to move from one level to another.

Swedish is a North Germanic language, spoken by approximately 10 million people, predominantly in Sweden and parts of Finland, especially along its coast and on the Åland islands. It is, to a considerable extent, mutually intelligible with Norwegian and to a lesser extent with Danish. Along with the other North Germanic languages, Swedish is a descendant of Old Norse, the common language of the Germanic peoples living in Scandinavia during the Viking Era. It is currently the largest of the North Germanic languages by numbers of speakers.

Stratford-upon-Avon from Celtic is a market town and civil parish in south Warwickshire, England. It lies on the River Avon, 22 miles (35 km) south east of Birmingham and 8 miles (13 km) south west of the county town, Warwick. It is the main town of the District of Stratford-on-Avon, which uses the term "on" to indicate that it covers a much larger area than the town itself. Four electoral wards make up the urban town of Stratford; Alveston, Avenue and New Town, Mount Pleasant and Guild and Hathaway. The estimated total population for those wards in 2007 was 25,505. The town is a popular tourist destination owing to its status as birthplace of the playwright and poet William Shakespeare, receiving about three million visitors a year from all over the world. The Royal Shakespeare Company resides in Stratford's Royal Shakespeare Theatre, one of Britain's most important cultural venues.
