This training, with more fun and a more worthwhile experience means that it’s a far cry from what you may remember of studying languages in school.
When you start a Swedish course in Luton, you will make progress from the very first lesson, as almost everything will be done in Swedish. This is known as the Communicative Approach, and means that your confidence and ability will soon grow so that you can use Swedish to communicate in social and business settings. We offer Swedish courses as group sessions or on a 1:1 basis/ Most of our clients offer their employees 1:1 Swedish training, however, if planned carefully, with participants numbering 6 or less who commit to meeting every week, group sessions can be good value for money.
Those who learn Swedish at Luton on a 1:1 basis will find that they progress more quickly, as the lessons can be specifically tailored for their individual needs, strengths and weaknesses. Swedish Course ManagementSIMON & SIMON’s Swedish language courses all have a specific Account Manager who oversee the course. Each of these managers is highly experienced and multi-lingual.
At the start of your Swedish course, you will receive a profile on your trainer, course materials and a Course Plan. After every 40 hours of training you will receive a Progress Report. We will send you our quarterly newsletter, Breaking the Language Barrier, which contains a wonderful prize draw as well as weblinks to valuable language learning resources. We have a global network of language trainers so our Swedish language courses can be arranged for almost any major European city, or even further abroad. SIMON & SIMON have run Swedish language courses for clients in many diverse locations.
Swedish language courses can be run in your home for your convenience, but many of our clients prefer to run them in their offices so as to minimise travel.

We also arrange weekend Swedish courses on request. Our Swedish programs commence from 8am to 8pm Monday to Friday.
Intensive 30 hour per week Swedish language courses, held on clients’ premises or at residential centres in the UK or abroad, are also available on a 6 hours per day basis, Monday through Friday. Whatever your personal level of experience and future goals, your Swedish course will be customised for you. Before you start the course we will assess your level of Swedish and discuss in detail what you would like to focus on.
You may desire simply to gain everyday Swedish skills from the level of a complete beginner, or you may have more experience in Swedish and want to improve your ability to discuss banking, finance or marketing.
You may want to develop improved pronunciation and comprehension skills or improve your Swedish for use in negotiations and meetings.
Whatever your goals and needs, our highly experienced Swedish language trainers will tailor your Swedish course so that your goals will be met quickly. Swedish Language Examination CoursesIf you are taking a Swedish examination, for business or other reasons, we are happy to help you with your preparations. We are very proud of the 95% pass rate of our students in language examinations. We believe this highlights the value of working with Swedish teachers in Luton whose experience is above average.
SIMON & SIMON can also register you for your Swedish examination, administer the examination and issue you your results. The table below is based on recognised language levels used by various academic institutions accross the European Union. A highly motivated student attending weekly sessions with their language trainer can expect to move from one level to another after 50 hours providing they also commit to a similar number of hours of self-study.
Of course, some people find learning languages easier than others, and some students will have more opportunities to practise the language in the course of their work and leisure, so these factors also need to be considered when trying to assess how long it will take to move from one level to another.

SIMON & SIMON International Breaking the Language Barrier Back to top of Swedish Courses Luton Swedish is a North Germanic language, spoken by approximately 10 million people, predominantly in Sweden and parts of Finland, especially along its coast and on the Åland islands. It is, to a considerable extent, mutually intelligible with Norwegian and to a lesser extent with Danish. Along with the other North Germanic languages, Swedish is a descendant of Old Norse, the common language of the Germanic peoples living in Scandinavia during the Viking Era. It is currently the largest of the North Germanic languages by numbers of speakers. Luton is a large town and unitary authority of Bedfordshire, England, 30 miles (51 kilometres) north of London. Luton and its near neighbours, Dunstable and Houghton Regis, form the Luton/Dunstable Urban Area with a population of over 240,000. Luton is home to Blue Square Premier team Luton Town Football Club, whose history includes several spells in the top flight of the English league as well as a Football League Cup triumph in 1988. They play at Kenilworth Road stadium, which has been their home since 1905. London Luton Airport, opened in 1938, is one of England's major airports. During the Second World War it doubled as an RAF base. The University of Bedfordshire is based in the town. The Luton Carnival, held on the late May bank holiday, is the largest one-day carnival in Europe. The town was for many years famous for hat-making and was also home to a large Vauxhall Motors factory; the head office of Vauxhall Motors is still situated in the town. Car production at the plant began in 1905 and continued until 2002, but commercial vehicle production remains.
