Swedish Courses for Business in HuddersfieldPlease click a title below for further information: Both professionals and non-professionals alike have seen great benefits from a SIMON & SIMON Swedish Language Course. SIMON & SIMON’s team of qualified Swedish teachers is made up of native speakers who average 15 years of experience. These teachers will make sure that a course is tailored for your specific needs so that you will benefit regardless of your language proficiency.
Feedback from clients on our Swedish tutors is consistently highly positive. Our students are sent a profile containing information on their specific teacher’s experience and background before the start of their Swedish Lessons. The way that modern languages are taught has gone through a revolution in the past few years. If you have only learned languages at school you will find that the experience now is vastly more fun and worthwhile.
The Communicative Approach means that your Swedish lessons in Huddersfield will be almost entirely through the medium of Swedish. You will feel that you are making real progress, even in the first lesson, and will soon communicate in Swedish with confidence, in a range of social and business environments. Our Swedish language courses are available on both a 1:1 and group basis, but the majority of our clients offer 1:1 Swedish training to their employees. However, with careful planning, group training can offer great value for money, provided there is a real commitment from the participants to get together at the same time every week. We strongly recommend you keep group numbers to 6 or less for these types of courses to be successful.
Those learning Swedish in at Huddersfield on a 1:1 basis will naturally make much faster progress, as the course will be designed around their individual needs and focus on their particular strengths and weaknesses. Swedish Course ManagementSIMON & SIMON’s Swedish language courses all have a specific Account Manager who oversee the course. Each of these managers is highly experienced and multi-lingual.
At the start of your Swedish course, you will receive a profile on your trainer, course materials and a Course Plan. After every 40 hours of training you will receive a Progress Report. We will send you our quarterly newsletter, Breaking the Language Barrier, which contains a wonderful prize draw as well as weblinks to valuable language learning resources. SIMON & SIMON’s Swedish language courses have been run for clients in many different locations. With a global network of language trainers a Swedish language course can be held in almost any major city throughout Europe and elsewhere.
We can arrange Swedish language courses in your home or, as many of our clients prefer, in your offices to remove the need for you to travel.
Full-time residential Swedish language courses are also an option. For a list of locations, please contact our office.
Huddersfield Swedish Course SchedulesWe run our Swedish language courses in Huddersfield all through the year. Many of our students, if work commitments allow, will attend more than one session weekly, and the vast majority take part in at least one 90-minute lesson weekly.
We also arrange weekend Swedish courses on request. Our Swedish programs commence from 8am to 8pm Monday to Friday.
Intensive 30 hour per week Swedish language courses, held on clients’ premises or at residential centres in the UK or abroad, are also available on a 6 hours per day basis, Monday through Friday. Whatever your personal level of experience and future goals, your Swedish course will be customised for you. Before you start the course we will assess your level of Swedish and discuss in detail what you would like to focus on.
You may desire simply to gain everyday Swedish skills from the level of a complete beginner, or you may have more experience in Swedish and want to improve your ability to discuss banking, finance or marketing.
You may want to develop improved pronunciation and comprehension skills or improve your Swedish for use in negotiations and meetings.
Whatever your goals and needs, our highly experienced Swedish language trainers will tailor your Swedish course so that your goals will be met quickly. Swedish Language Examination CoursesIf you are taking a Swedish examination, for business or other reasons, we are happy to help you with your preparations. We are very proud of the 95% pass rate of our students in language examinations. We believe this highlights the value of working with Swedish teachers in Huddersfield whose experience is above average.
SIMON & SIMON can also register you for your Swedish examination, administer the examination and issue you your results. The table below is based on recognised language levels used by various academic institutions accross the European Union. A highly motivated student attending weekly sessions with their language trainer can expect to move from one level to another after 50 hours providing they also commit to a similar number of hours of self-study.
Of course, some people find learning languages easier than others, and some students will have more opportunities to practise the language in the course of their work and leisure, so these factors also need to be considered when trying to assess how long it will take to move from one level to another.

SIMON & SIMON International Breaking the Language Barrier Back to top of Swedish Courses Huddersfield Swedish is a North Germanic language, spoken by approximately 10 million people, predominantly in Sweden and parts of Finland, especially along its coast and on the Åland islands. It is, to a considerable extent, mutually intelligible with Norwegian and to a lesser extent with Danish. Along with the other North Germanic languages, Swedish is a descendant of Old Norse, the common language of the Germanic peoples living in Scandinavia during the Viking Era. It is currently the largest of the North Germanic languages by numbers of speakers. Huddersfield is a large market town within the Metropolitan Borough of Kirklees, in West Yorkshire, England, situated halfway between Leeds and Manchester. It lies 190 miles (310 km) north of London, and 10.3 miles (16.6 km) south of Bradford, the nearest city.
Huddersfield is near the confluence of the River Colne and the River Holme. Located within the historic county boundaries of the West Riding of Yorkshire, according to the 2001 Census it was the 10th largest town in the UK and with a total resident population of 146,234. It is the largest urban area in the metropolitan borough of Kirklees and the administrative centre of the borough. The town is well known for its important role in the Industrial Revolution, the birthplace of rugby league and for being the birthplace of the late British Prime Minister Harold Wilson.
Huddersfield today is a town of higher education, the media and sports, being home to the rugby league team, Huddersfield Giants, founded in 1895, who currently play in the European Super League and Football League One football team Huddersfield Town F.C., founded in 1908. The town is home to the University of Huddersfield and the sixth form colleges Greenhead College and Kirklees College.
Huddersfield is a town of Victorian architecture. Huddersfield railway station is a Grade I listed building and was described by John Betjeman as 'the most splendid station facade in England' second only to St Pancras, London.
