Swedish Courses for Business in CardiffPlease click a title below for further information: Private individuals and professionals in companies all over the UK have profited from undertaking a Swedish Language Course with SIMON & SIMON. Averaging 15 years of experience, our native Swedish speaking qualified teachers construct your course so that your individual requirements are met, no matter what your level of experience.
Our Swedish teachers receive excellent feedback from our clients. A profile, containing information about the Swedish teacher’s background and experience, is sent to each student before the Swedish lessons start.
Modern language teaching is now approached much differently to how you might remember learning languages in school. The experience is now much more fun and rewarding.
The Communicative Approach, where your Swedish teacher will conduct your lessons almost entirely in Swedish means that progress is made from your very first lesson. Soon, you will have such confidence that using Swedish in a social or business setting will be no problem. We offer Swedish courses as group sessions or on a 1:1 basis/ Most of our clients offer their employees 1:1 Swedish training, however, if planned carefully, with participants numbering 6 or less who commit to meeting every week, group sessions can be good value for money.
Those who learn Swedish at Cardiff on a 1:1 basis will find that they progress more quickly, as the lessons can be specifically tailored for their individual needs, strengths and weaknesses. Swedish Course ManagementEach of SIMON & SIMON’s Swedish languages courses is the responsibility of a multi-lingual, very experienced Account Manager.
When you start your Swedish course, you will receive your trainer’s profile. Thereafter we will send you a Course Plan, materials for the course and, after each 40 hours of training, a Progress Report. Our quarterly newsletter, Breaking the Language Barrier, will also reach you, and contains a prize draw as well as the weblinks of language learning resources. SIMON & SIMON’s Swedish language courses have been run for clients in many different locations. With a global network of language trainers a Swedish language course can be held in almost any major city throughout Europe and elsewhere.
We can arrange Swedish language courses in your home or, as many of our clients prefer, in your offices to remove the need for you to travel.

30 hour per week intensive Swedish courses can be held on clients’ premises or in residential centres in the UK or abroad. These courses take 6 hours per day, Monday through Friday. We will tailor your Swedish language course for your specific aims and level of knowledge. Before you start your Swedish language course we will assess your goals and level of Swedish experience.
Your desire to learn Swedish may be simply to develop basic skills, or you may have some level of proficiency and wish to increase your ability to use Swedish to discuss business.
You may want to develop your language skills so that you can use Swedish in negotiations and meetings or improve your pronunciation and telephone skills.
No matter what goals you have, you can be confident of our Swedish trainers experience and that your Swedish language course is tailored to your needs and your goals will be quickly met. Swedish Language Examination CoursesOur students’ pass rate for Swedish examinations is at 95%, and we are happy to help with the preparations for any such examination. Our high pass rate shows the value of working with Swedish teachers in Cardiff who have a higher level of experience than average.
SIMON & SIMON also arrange registration for Swedish examinations as well as administering the examination and issuing the results. The table below is based on recognised language levels used by various academic institutions accross the European Union. A highly motivated student attending weekly sessions with their language trainer can expect to move from one level to another after 50 hours providing they also commit to a similar number of hours of self-study.
Of course, some people find learning languages easier than others, and some students will have more opportunities to practise the language in the course of their work and leisure, so these factors also need to be considered when trying to assess how long it will take to move from one level to another.

SIMON & SIMON International Breaking the Language Barrier Back to top of Swedish Courses Cardiff Swedish is a North Germanic language, spoken by approximately 10 million people, predominantly in Sweden and parts of Finland, especially along its coast and on the Åland islands. It is, to a considerable extent, mutually intelligible with Norwegian and to a lesser extent with Danish. Along with the other North Germanic languages, Swedish is a descendant of Old Norse, the common language of the Germanic peoples living in Scandinavia during the Viking Era. It is currently the largest of the North Germanic languages by numbers of speakers. Cardiff is the capital, largest city and most populous county of Wales. The city is Wales' chief commercial centre, the base for most national cultural and sporting institutions, the Welsh national media, and the seat of the National Assembly for Wales. According to recent estimates, the population of the unitary authority area is 324,800, while the wider metropolitan area has a population of nearly 1.1 million, more than a third of the total Welsh population. Cardiff is a significant tourism centre and the most popular visitor destination in Wales with 14.6 million visitors in 2009.
The city of Cardiff is the county town of the historic county of Glamorgan (and later South Glamorgan). Cardiff is part of the Eurocities network of the largest European cities. The Cardiff Urban Area covers a slightly larger area outside of the county boundary, and includes the towns of Dinas Powys, Penarth and Radyr. A small town until the early 19th century, its prominence as a major port for the transport of coal following the arrival of industry in the region contributed to its rise as a major city.
Cardiff was made a city in 1905, and proclaimed capital of Wales in 1955. Since the 1990s Cardiff has seen significant development with a new waterfront area at Cardiff Bay which contains the Senedd building, home to the Welsh Assembly and the Wales Millennium Centre arts complex.
