Swedish Courses for Business in CambridgeshirePlease click a title below for further information: Many professionals in companies across the UK, as well as private individuals, have benefited from an Swedish Language Course with SIMON & SIMON. We have a terrific team of qualified native-speaker Swedish teachers, and with an average of 15 years' experience they will ensure you benefit from a course designed specifically around your needs, whether you are a complete beginner or an advanced learner with more specialised requirements.
We consistently receive excellent feedback on our Swedish tutors from our clients, and we send our students a profile on their Swedish tutor prior to their Swedish lessons commencing, with information on the tutor's background and experience. Modern language teaching is now approached much differently to how you might remember learning languages in school. The experience is now much more fun and rewarding.
The Communicative Approach, where your Swedish teacher will conduct your lessons almost entirely in Swedish means that progress is made from your very first lesson. Soon, you will have such confidence that using Swedish in a social or business setting will be no problem. Swedish courses from us can be run for groups or individuals. While many of our clients offer their employees Swedish courses on a 1:1 basis, group sessions can be excellent value. Group sessions do require planning and commitment from the participants and we recommend that no more than 6 people participate in a group.
As 1:1 lessons can be tailored to an individual’s needs, strengths and weaknesses, learning Swedish in Cambridgeshire on a 1:1 basis will give quicker progress. Swedish Course ManagementEvery SIMON & SIMON Swedish language course has a highly experienced, multi-lingual Account Manager who oversees it.
When your Swedish course starts you will be sent a profile on your trainer, materials for your course and a Course Plan as well as a Progress Report for every 40 hours of training. Breaking the Language Barrier, our quarterly newsletter that you will also receive, contains a prize draw as well as weblinks to a number of learning resources. Swedish language courses have been run by SIMON & SIMON in many locations. Our global network of language trainers means that any major city in the UK Europe, and beyond can hold your Swedish language course.
We can arrange your Swedish language lessons for your own home, but many of our clients like to run them in their offices so as to minimise travel.
Residential full-time Swedish language courses are also available. Our office can discuss available locations with you. Cambridgeshire Swedish Course SchedulesOur Swedish language courses in Cambridgeshire take place throughout the year. Many of our students try to attend more than one weekly lesson if work commitments allow, and most will attend at least one session of 90-minutes duration per week.
If you would like a Weekend Course, one can be arranged. Our Swedish daytime courses run from 8am through to 8pm, Monday - Friday.
We also provide Intensive Swedish language courses on clients’ premises or in residential centres both in the UK and abroad. These courses run for 30 hours of the week, 6 hours a day from Monday to Friday. The Swedish language course that you undertake will be customised for your Swedish level and personal goals. Before you start the course, we will speak to you about your desired focus and assess you Swedish level.
You may have little or no experience of Swedish and only want basic conversational skills or you may be more proficient and desire more fluency with which to discuss business.
You may want to raise your Swedish skills for use in meetings and negotiations or rather develop increased comprehension and pronunciation skills.
Whatever your objectives, our Swedish language trainers are highly experienced, and you can be confident that your personalised Swedish course will help you to meet your goals quickly. Swedish Language Examination CoursesSIMON & SIMON also assists in preparation for Swedish examinations, whether for business or personal qualification. We believe that our 95% pass rate for language examinations is a reflection of our policy of working with Swedish teachers in Cambridgeshire who possess above average experience.
Registration for and administration of Swedish examinations, along with the issuing of results certificates are all provided by SIMON & SIMON. The table below is based on recognised language levels used by various academic institutions accross the European Union. A highly motivated student attending weekly sessions with their language trainer can expect to move from one level to another after 50 hours providing they also commit to a similar number of hours of self-study.
Of course, some people find learning languages easier than others, and some students will have more opportunities to practise the language in the course of their work and leisure, so these factors also need to be considered when trying to assess how long it will take to move from one level to another.

SIMON & SIMON International Breaking the Language Barrier Back to top of Swedish Courses Cambridgeshire Swedish is a North Germanic language, spoken by approximately 10 million people, predominantly in Sweden and parts of Finland, especially along its coast and on the Åland islands. It is, to a considerable extent, mutually intelligible with Norwegian and to a lesser extent with Danish. Along with the other North Germanic languages, Swedish is a descendant of Old Norse, the common language of the Germanic peoples living in Scandinavia during the Viking Era. It is currently the largest of the North Germanic languages by numbers of speakers. Cambridgeshire is a former United Kingdom Parliamentary constituency. It was a constituency of the House of Commons of the Parliament of England then of the Parliament of Great Britain from 1707 to 1800 and of the Parliament of the United Kingdom from 1801 to 1885. It was represented by two Knights of the Shire until 1832, when the number of members was increased to three. It was divided between the constituencies of Chesterton, Newmarket and Wisbech in 1885.
The parliamentary county was again reconstituted in 1918. In 1983, when the redistribution of seats took place on the basis of the expanded post-1974 Cambridgeshire, the constituency was divided between the new constituencies of North East Cambridgeshire (including a small part of Peterborough), South East Cambridgeshire and South West Cambridgeshire (including a minority of territory from the former Huntingdonshire).
The historic county of Cambridgeshire. (Although Cambridgeshire contained the borough of Cambridge, which elected two MPs in its own right, this was not excluded from the county constituency, and owning property within the borough could confer a vote at the county election.
