Swedish Courses for Business in AshfordPlease click a title below for further information: Many professionals in companies across the UK, as well as private individuals, have benefited from an Swedish Language Course with SIMON & SIMON. We have a terrific team of qualified native-speaker Swedish teachers, and with an average of 15 years' experience they will ensure you benefit from a course designed specifically around your needs, whether you are a complete beginner or an advanced learner with more specialised requirements.
We consistently receive excellent feedback on our Swedish tutors from our clients, and we send our students a profile on their Swedish tutor prior to their Swedish lessons commencing, with information on the tutor's background and experience. If the only experience you have of studying a language is from your time in school, you may not know that there has been a revolution in the teaching of modern languages so that it is both more fun and more worthwhile.
Your Swedish teacher in Ashford will be using the Communicative Approach, where your lessons will, with few exceptions, be conducted in Swedish. You will see your progress from that very first lesson and will soon be confident enough to conduct business or talk socially in Swedish. The Swedish courses that we offer can be run as 1:1 or group sessions. While most of our clients use 1:1 Swedish training for their employees, group sessions can be good value. Participants numbers should be kept to 6 or less, and they will need to commit to meeting every week.
If you require faster progress, 1:1 Swedish courses at Ashford are more suitable as the lessons and course can be tailored to the individual’s needs while focusing on their specific weaknesses and strengths. Swedish Course ManagementEvery SIMON & SIMON Swedish language course is overseen by one of our highly experienced Account Managers, all of whom are multi-lingual.
At the start of your Swedish language course we will send you a profile on your trainer, followed by a Course Plan and relevant course materials, and then a Progress Report after every 40 hours of training. You will also receive a copy of our quarterly newsletter, Breaking the Language Barrier, featuring a superb prize draw and invaluable weblinks to language learning sources. Swedish Language Examination CoursesWe are happy to help in your preparation for any Swedish examinations. Our students have a 95% pass rate and we think that their success shows the value of our policy of working with above-average experienced Swedish teachers in Ashford.
Issuing of results certificates, registration for Swedish examinations and administration of such exams is also provided by SIMON & SIMON. The table below is based on recognised language levels used by various academic institutions accross the European Union. A highly motivated student attending weekly sessions with their language trainer can expect to move from one level to another after 50 hours providing they also commit to a similar number of hours of self-study.
Of course, some people find learning languages easier than others, and some students will have more opportunities to practise the language in the course of their work and leisure, so these factors also need to be considered when trying to assess how long it will take to move from one level to another.

SIMON & SIMON International Breaking the Language Barrier Back to top of Swedish Courses Ashford Swedish is a North Germanic language, spoken by approximately 10 million people, predominantly in Sweden and parts of Finland, especially along its coast and on the Åland islands. It is, to a considerable extent, mutually intelligible with Norwegian and to a lesser extent with Danish. Along with the other North Germanic languages, Swedish is a descendant of Old Norse, the common language of the Germanic peoples living in Scandinavia during the Viking Era. It is currently the largest of the North Germanic languages by numbers of speakers. Ashford is a town in the borough of Ashford in Kent, England. In 2005 it was voted the fourth best place to live in the United Kingdom. It lies on the Great Stour river, the M20 motorway, and the South Eastern Main Line and High Speed 1 railways. Its agricultural market is one of the most important in the county. Ashford is a relatively common English place-name: it goes back to Old English æscet, indicating a ford near a clump of ash-trees.
As a market town, Ashford has for centuries been a local communications hub for surrounding villages and has stood at the centre of five railway lines, (Ashford to Ramsgate (via Canterbury West) line, Swanley to Ashford (via Maidstone East) Line, South Eastern Main Line, Kent Coast Line and the Marshlink Line) since the 19th century and with the opening of the International Passenger Station is now an important European communications centre, with new lines running between London and the Channel Tunnel (via High Speed 1).
