The feedback on our Spanish tutors that we receive from our clients is consistently excellent. Prior to the start of your Spanish course, you will be sent a profile on your specific Spanish teacher’s experience and background. Modern language teaching is now approached much differently to how you might remember learning languages in school. The experience is now much more fun and rewarding.
The Communicative Approach, where your Spanish teacher will conduct your lessons almost entirely in Spanish means that progress is made from your very first lesson. Soon, you will have such confidence that using Spanish in a social or business setting will be no problem. Both 1:1 and group formats are available for our Spanish language courses. While most of our clients offer 1:1 Spanish training, the group format can offer great value for money. If you want groups to be successful, the members must commit to the weekly meetings and we recommend keeping the number of participants below 7.
Progress is faster for those who learn Spanish in Tyne-and-Wear on a 1:1 basis as the lessons are individually tailored for their particular needs, strengths and weaknesses. Your desire to learn Spanish may be simply to develop basic skills, or you may have some level of proficiency and wish to increase your ability to use Spanish to discuss business.
You may want to develop your language skills so that you can use Spanish in negotiations and meetings or improve your pronunciation and telephone skills.

Spanish Language Examination CoursesOur students’ pass rate for Spanish examinations is at 95%, and we are happy to help with the preparations for any such examination. Our high pass rate shows the value of working with Spanish teachers in Tyne-and-Wear who have a higher level of experience than average.
SIMON & SIMON also arrange registration for Spanish examinations as well as administering the examination and issuing the results. The table below is based on recognised language levels used by various academic institutions accross the European Union. A highly motivated student attending weekly sessions with their language trainer can expect to move from one level to another after 50 hours providing they also commit to a similar number of hours of self-study.
Of course, some people find learning languages easier than others, and some students will have more opportunities to practise the language in the course of their work and leisure, so these factors also need to be considered when trying to assess how long it will take to move from one level to another.

SIMON & SIMON International Breaking the Language Barrier Back to top of Spanish Courses Tyne-and-Wear Spanish is a Romance language in the Ibero-Romance group that evolved from several languages and dialects in the central-north of Iberia during the 9th century and gradually spread with the expansion of the Kingdom of Castile into central and southern Iberia during the later Medieval period.
In 1999, there were 358 million people speaking Spanish as a native language and a total of 417 million speakers worldwide. As of 2010 these figures are up to 400 and 500 million people respectively. Spanish is the second most natively spoken language in the world, after Mandarin Chinese. Mexico contains the largest population of Spanish speakers. Spanish is one of the six official languages of the United Nations. Tyne and Wear is a metropolitan county in North East England around the mouths of the Rivers Tyne and Wear. It came into existence as a metropolitan county in 1974 after the passage of the Local Government Act 1972. It consists of the five metropolitan boroughs of South Tyneside, North Tyneside, City of Newcastle upon Tyne, Gateshead and the City of Sunderland.
North Tyneside and Newcastle upon Tyne had previously existed within the historic county of Northumberland, whereas South Tyneside, Gateshead and Sunderland were all previously within the borders of County Durham, with the River Tyne forming the border of the two counties.
Tyne and Wear is bounded on the east by the North Sea, and as a Ceremonial county, shares borders with Northumberland to the north and County Durham to the south.
Tyne and Wear County Council was abolished in 1986, and so its districts (the metropolitan boroughs) are now effectively unitary authorities. However, the metropolitan county continues to exist in law and as a geographic frame of reference.
