Spanish Course Management

Breaking the Language Barrier, our quarterly newsletter, which contains weblinks to various language learning sources and a prize draw, will also be sent to you.

Spanish language courses have been run by SIMON & SIMON in many locations. Our global network of language trainers means that any major city in the UK Europe, and beyond can hold your Spanish language course. We can arrange your Spanish language lessons for your own home, but many of our clients like to run them in their offices so as to minimise travel. Residential full-time Spanish language courses are also available. Our office can discuss available locations with you.

Norfolk Spanish Course Schedules

We run our Spanish language courses in Norfolk all through the year. Many of our students, if work commitments allow, will attend more than one session weekly, and the vast majority take part in at least one 90-minute lesson weekly. We also arrange weekend Spanish courses on request. Our Spanish programs commence from 8am to 8pm Monday to Friday. Intensive 30 hour per week Spanish language courses, held on clients’ premises or at residential centres in the UK or abroad, are also available on a 6 hours per day basis, Monday through Friday.

Whatever your personal level of experience and future goals, your Spanish course will be customised for you. Before you start the course we will assess your level of Spanish and discuss in detail what you would like to focus on. You may desire simply to gain everyday Spanish skills from the level of a complete beginner, or you may have more experience in Spanish and want to improve your ability to discuss banking, finance or marketing. The table below is based on recognised language levels used by various academic institutions accross the European Union. Of course, some people find learning languages easier than others, and some students will have more opportunities to practise the language in the course of their work and leisure, so these factors also need to be considered when trying to assess how long it will take to move from one level to another.

Spanish is a Romance language in the Ibero-Romance group that evolved from several languages and dialects in the central-north of Iberia during the 9th century and gradually spread with the expansion of the Kingdom of Castile into central and southern Iberia during the later Medieval period. In 1999, there were 358 million people speaking Spanish as a native language and a total of 417 million speakers worldwide. As of 2010 these figures are up to 400 and 500 million people respectively. Spanish is the second most natively spoken language in the world, after Mandarin Chinese. Mexico contains the largest population of Spanish speakers. Spanish is one of the six official languages of the United Nations.

Norfolk is a low-lying county in the East of England. It has borders with Lincolnshire to the west, Cambridgeshire to the west and southwest and Suffolk to the south. Its northern and eastern boundaries are the North Sea coast, including The Wash. The county town is Norwich. Historical sites, such as those in the centre of Norwich, also contribute to tourism.
