Spanish Course Management

One of our highly experienced, multilingual Account managers oversees each SIMON & SIMON Spanish language course. On starting your Spanish course you will receive various materials including a profile on your trainer, a Course Plan and course materials and a Progress Report on every 40 hours of your training. Breaking the Language Barrier, our quarterly newsletter, which contains weblinks to various language learning sources and a prize draw, will also be sent to you.

We have a global network of language trainers so our Spanish language courses can be arranged for almost any major European city, or even further abroad. SIMON & SIMON have run Spanish language courses for clients in many diverse locations. Spanish language courses can be run in your home for your convenience, but many of our clients prefer to run them in their offices so as to minimise travel. Merseyside Spanish Course Schedules

Our Spanish language courses in Merseyside take place throughout the year. Many of our students try to attend more than one weekly lesson if work commitments allow, and most will attend at least one session of 90-minutes duration per week. If you would like a Weekend Course, one can be arranged. Our Spanish daytime courses run from 8am through to 8pm, Monday - Friday. We also provide Intensive Spanish language courses on clients’ premises or in residential centres both in the UK and abroad. These courses run for 30 hours of the week, 6 hours a day from Monday to Friday.

The Spanish language course that you undertake will be customised for your Spanish level and personal goals. Before you start the course, we will speak to you about your desired focus and assess you Spanish level. You may have little or no experience of Spanish and only want basic conversational skills or you may be more proficient and desire more fluency with which to discuss business. You may want to raise your Spanish skills for use in meetings and negotiations or rather develop increased comprehension and pronunciation skills. Whatever your objectives, our Spanish language trainers are highly experienced, and you can be confident that your personalised Spanish course will help you to meet your goals quickly.

Spanish Language Examination Courses

SIMON & SIMON also assists in preparation for Spanish examinations, whether for business or personal qualification. Registration for and administration of Spanish examinations, along with the issuing of results certificates are all provided by SIMON & SIMON.

The table below is based on recognised language levels used by various academic institutions accross the European Union. A highly motivated student attending weekly sessions with their language trainer can expect to move from one level to another after 50 hours providing they also commit to a similar number of hours of self-study.

Of course, some people find learning languages easier than others, and some students will have more opportunities to practise the language in the course of their work and leisure, so these factors also need to be considered when trying to assess how long it will take to move from one level to another.

Spanish is a Romance language in the Ibero-Romance group that evolved from several languages and dialects in the central-north of Iberia during the 9th century and gradually spread with the expansion of the Kingdom of Castile into central and southern Iberia during the later Medieval period. In 1999, there were 358 million people speaking Spanish as a native language and a total of 417 million speakers worldwide. As of 2010 these figures are up to 400 and 500 million people respectively. Spanish is the second most natively spoken language in the world, after Mandarin Chinese. Mexico contains the largest population of Spanish speakers. Spanish is one of the six official languages of the United Nations.

Merseyside is a metropolitan county in North West England, with a population of 1,365,900. Taking its name from the River Mersey, Merseyside came into existence as a metropolitan county in 1974, after the passage of the Local Government Act 1972, and the county consists of five metropolitan boroughs adjoining the Mersey Estuary, including the City of Liverpool. Merseyside County Council was abolished in 1986, and so its districts (the metropolitan boroughs) are now effectively unitary authorities. However, the metropolitan county is still recognised for ceremonial and administrative purposes. Merseyside is divided into two parts by the Mersey Estuary: the Metropolitan Borough of Wirral is located to the west of the estuary on the Wirral Peninsula; the rest of the county is located on the eastern side of the estuary. The eastern boroughs of Merseyside border Lancashire to the north and Greater Manchester to the east, and both parts of Merseyside, west and east of the estuary, border Cheshire to the south.
