SIMON & SIMON’s team of qualified native Spanish speaking teachers average 15 years of experience. Professionals and private individuals from all over the UK have benefited from SIMON & SIMON’s Spanish language courses, all of which are tailor-made to reflect each student's level of experience. We consistently receive outstanding feedback from our clients about our Spanish tutors. Each student is sent a specific profile on the experience and background of their Spanish tutor before they start their course of lessons.

Maybe your only knowledge of studying languages is what you remember from school. Modern language teaching has recently changed to be much more entertaining and rewarding. Your Spanish lessons in Blackpool will be carried out almost completely in Spanish. This is the Communicative Approach and by this method you will notice progress from the initial lesson. You will soon feel confident and able to use Spanish to communicate in various business and social situations.

The Spanish courses that we offer can be run as 1:1 or group sessions. While most of our clients use 1:1 Spanish training for their employees, group sessions can be good value. Participants numbers should be kept to 6 or less, and they will need to commit to meeting every week. If you require faster progress, 1:1 Spanish courses at Blackpool are more suitable as the lessons and course can be tailored to the individual’s needs while focusing on their specific weaknesses and strengths.

Spanish Course Management

Every SIMON & SIMON Spanish language course has a highly experienced, multi-lingual Account Manager who oversees it. When your Spanish course starts you will be sent a profile on your trainer, materials for your course and a Course Plan as well as a Progress Report for every 40 hours of training. Breaking the Language Barrier, our quarterly newsletter that you will also receive, contains a prize draw as well as weblinks to a number of learning resources.

We have a global network of language trainers so our Spanish language courses can be arranged for almost any major European city, or even further abroad. SIMON & SIMON have run Spanish language courses for clients in many diverse locations. Spanish language courses can be run in your home for your convenience, but many of our clients prefer to run them in their offices so as to minimise travel. Blackpool Spanish Course Schedules

Our Spanish language courses in Blackpool go on all year. Some of our students attend more than one 90-minute weekly session if work circumstances allow, and most will attend at least one per week. Weekend Courses in Spanish can be arranged on request. Our Spanish courses are available 12 hours a day, from 8am to 8pm Monday through Friday. 30 hour per week intensive Spanish courses can be held on clients’ premises or in residential centres in the UK or abroad. These courses take 6 hours per day, Monday through Friday.

We will tailor your Spanish language course for your specific aims and level of knowledge. Before you start your Spanish language course we will assess your goals and level of Spanish experience. Your desire to learn Spanish may be simply to develop basic skills, or you may have some level of proficiency and wish to increase your ability to use Spanish to discuss business. You may want to develop your language skills so that you can use Spanish in negotiations and meetings or improve your pronunciation and telephone skills. No matter what goals you have, you can be confident of our Spanish trainers experience and that your Spanish language course is tailored to your needs and your goals will be quickly met.

Spanish Language Examination Courses

Our students’ pass rate for Spanish examinations is at 95%, and we are happy to help with the preparations for any such examination. Our high pass rate shows the value of working with Spanish teachers in Blackpool who have a higher level of experience than average. SIMON & SIMON also arrange registration for Spanish examinations as well as administering the examination and issuing the results.

The table below is based on recognised language levels used by various academic institutions accross the European Union. A highly motivated student attending weekly sessions with their language trainer can expect to move from one level to another after 50 hours providing they also commit to a similar number of hours of self-study.

Of course, some people find learning languages easier than others, and some students will have more opportunities to practise the language in the course of their work and leisure, so these factors also need to be considered when trying to assess how long it will take to move from one level to another.

Spanish is a Romance language in the Ibero-Romance group that evolved from several languages and dialects in the central-north of Iberia during the 9th century and gradually spread with the expansion of the Kingdom of Castile into central and southern Iberia during the later Medieval period. In 1999, there were 358 million people speaking Spanish as a native language and a total of 417 million speakers worldwide. As of 2010 these figures are up to 400 and 500 million people respectively. Spanish is the second most natively spoken language in the world, after Mandarin Chinese. Mexico contains the largest population of Spanish speakers. Spanish is one of the six official languages of the United Nations.

Blackpool is a seaside town and unitary authority in Lancashire, England. Situated along the coast of the Irish Sea, it has a population of 142,900, making it the third-largest settlement in North West England behind Manchester and Liverpool. It lies 40 miles (64 km) north-west of the city of Manchester, and less than 30 miles (48 km) north of Liverpool City centre. Blackpool is the fourth most densely populated local authority district of England & Wales outside Greater London. Blackpool rose to prominence as a major centre of tourism during the 19th century, particularly for the inhabitants of northern mill towns. Blackpool is believed to get its name from a historic drainage channel (possibly Spen Dyke) that ran over a peat bog, discharging discoloured water into the Irish Sea, which formed a black pool (on the other side of the sea, "Dublin" (Dubh Linn) is derived from the Irish for "black pool"). Another explanation is that the local dialect for stream was "pul" or "poole", hence "Black poole".
