Professionals and private individuals from all over the UK have benefited from SIMON & SIMON’s Slovak language courses, all of which are tailor-made to reflect each student's level of experience.
We consistently receive outstanding feedback from our clients about our Slovak tutors. Each student is sent a specific profile on the experience and background of their Slovak tutor before they start their course of lessons. If you have only studied languages before at school you will find that teaching approaches to modern language training have changed enormously in recent years - it's now a lot more fun and a far more rewarding experience!
Your teacher will conduct your Slovak lesson in Staffordshire almost entirely in Slovak - a method known as the Communicative Approach - and you will find yourself making progress from the very first lesson and soon growing in the confidence to communicate in Slovak in a variety of social and business situations. Both 1:1 and group formats are available for our Slovak language courses. While most of our clients offer 1:1 Slovak training, the group format can offer great value for money. If you want groups to be successful, the members must commit to the weekly meetings and we recommend keeping the number of participants below 7.
Progress is faster for those who learn Slovak in Staffordshire on a 1:1 basis as the lessons are individually tailored for their particular needs, strengths and weaknesses. Slovak Course ManagementEach of SIMON & SIMON’s Slovak languages courses is the responsibility of a multi-lingual, very experienced Account Manager.

Thereafter we will send you a Course Plan, materials for the course and, after each 40 hours of training, a Progress Report. Our quarterly newsletter, Breaking the Language Barrier, will also reach you, and contains a prize draw as well as the weblinks of language learning resources. Full-time Slovak courses can be arranged in a residential setting for you. Our office has information on the locations we offer. Staffordshire Slovak Course SchedulesWe run our Slovak language courses in Staffordshire all through the year. Many of our students, if work commitments allow, will attend more than one session weekly, and the vast majority take part in at least one 90-minute lesson weekly.
We also arrange weekend Slovak courses on request. Our Slovak programs commence from 8am to 8pm Monday to Friday.
Intensive 30 hour per week Slovak language courses, held on clients’ premises or at residential centres in the UK or abroad, are also available on a 6 hours per day basis, Monday through Friday. Whatever your personal level of experience and future goals, your Slovak course will be customised for you. Before you start the course we will assess your level of Slovak and discuss in detail what you would like to focus on.
You may desire simply to gain everyday Slovak skills from the level of a complete beginner, or you may have more experience in Slovak and want to improve your ability to discuss banking, finance or marketing.
You may want to develop improved pronunciation and comprehension skills or improve your Slovak for use in negotiations and meetings.
Whatever your goals and needs, our highly experienced Slovak language trainers will tailor your Slovak course so that your goals will be met quickly. Slovak Language Examination CoursesIf you are taking a Slovak examination, for business or other reasons, we are happy to help you with your preparations. We are very proud of the 95% pass rate of our students in language examinations. We believe this highlights the value of working with Slovak teachers in Staffordshire whose experience is above average.
SIMON & SIMON can also register you for your Slovak examination, administer the examination and issue you your results. The table below is based on recognised language levels used by various academic institutions accross the European Union. A highly motivated student attending weekly sessions with their language trainer can expect to move from one level to another after 50 hours providing they also commit to a similar number of hours of self-study.
Of course, some people find learning languages easier than others, and some students will have more opportunities to practise the language in the course of their work and leisure, so these factors also need to be considered when trying to assess how long it will take to move from one level to another.

SIMON & SIMON International Breaking the Language Barrier Back to top of Slovak Courses Staffordshire Slovak is an Indo-European language that belongs to the West Slavic languages (together with Czech, Polish, Silesian, Kashubian, and Sorbian). Slovak is spoken in Slovakia (by 5 million people), also in the United States (1,200,000), the Czech Republic (350,000), Serbia (60,000), Ireland (30,000), Romania (22,000), Poland (20,000), Canada (20,000), Hungary (11,800), Croatia (5,000), Australia, Austria, Bulgaria and Ukraine. Staffordshire is a landlocked county in the West Midlands region of England. Part of the National Forest lies within its borders. It adjoins the ceremonial counties of Cheshire (to the north west), Derbyshire (to the east), Leicestershire (to the east), Warwickshire (to the south east), West Midlands (to the south), Worcestershire (to the south), and Shropshire (to the west).
The largest city in Staffordshire is Stoke-on-Trent, which is administered separately from the rest of the county as an independent unitary authority. Lichfield also has city status, although this is a considerably smaller cathedral city. Major towns include Stafford (the county town), Burton upon Trent, Cannock, Newcastle-under-Lyme and Tamworth. Wolverhampton and Walsall were also in Staffordshire until local government reorganisation in 1974, but are now within the West Midlands county. Apart from Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire is divided into the districts of Cannock Chase, East Staffordshire, Lichfield, Newcastle-under-Lyme, South Staffordshire, Stafford, Staffordshire Moorlands, and Tamworth.
