SIMON & SIMON’s team of qualified native Slovak speaking teachers average 15 years of experience. Professionals and private individuals from all over the UK have benefited from SIMON & SIMON’s Slovak language courses, all of which are tailor-made to reflect each student's level of experience. We consistently receive outstanding feedback from our clients about our Slovak tutors. Each student is sent a specific profile on the experience and background of their Slovak tutor before they start their course of lessons.

If you have only studied languages before at school you will find that teaching approaches to modern language training have changed enormously in recent years - it's now a lot more fun and a far more rewarding experience! Your teacher will conduct your Slovak lesson in Southampton almost entirely in Slovak - a method known as the Communicative Approach - and you will find yourself making progress from the very first lesson and soon growing in the confidence to communicate in Slovak in a variety of social and business situations.

We offer Slovak courses as group sessions or on a 1:1 basis/ Most of our clients offer their employees 1:1 Slovak training, however, if planned carefully, with participants numbering 6 or less who commit to meeting every week, group sessions can be good value for money. Those who learn Slovak at Southampton on a 1:1 basis will find that they progress more quickly, as the lessons can be specifically tailored for their individual needs, strengths and weaknesses.

Slovak Course Management

Every SIMON & SIMON Slovak language course is overseen by one of our highly experienced Account Managers, all of whom are multi-lingual. At the start of your Slovak language course we will send you a profile on your trainer, followed by a Course Plan and relevant course materials, and then a Progress Report after every 40 hours of training. You will also receive a copy of our quarterly newsletter, Breaking the Language Barrier, featuring a superb prize draw and invaluable weblinks to language learning sources.

The Slovak language courses of SIMON & SIMON have been run in numerous locations. As we have a global network of language trainers your Slovak language course can be arranged in major cities across Europe and further afield. Most of our clients arrange for their Slovak lessons to be run in their offices so that there is less need for travel, but we can also run Slovak lessons in your home. We also run residential full-time Slovak language courses in a variety of locations which our office will be happy to inform you of.

Southampton Slovak Course Schedules

The Slovak language courses in Southampton that we run go on through the year. Each week, most of our students will attend at least one of our 90-minute lessons, but many will do more. We can easily arrange Weekend Courses for you. Slovak courses run from Monday to Friday, any time from 8am to 8pm. Intensive Slovak language courses can be arranged in residential centres abroad or in the UK, or on clients’ premises for 30 hours per week, 6 hours a day Monday to Friday.

Before you start your Slovak language course we will assess your level of Slovak and speak to you about your aims so that your Slovak language course can be customised for you. You may have never been exposed to Slovak before and wish to develop basic survival skills, or you may have some experience and wish to be able to speak more fluently in Slovak when discussing business. You may want to further your ability to use Slovak in negotiations and meetings or better your comprehension and pronunciation abilities. Whatever goals you may have, our experienced Slovak language trainers will tailor your Slovak course so that your goals can be quickly met.

Slovak Language Examination Courses

We are happy to help in your preparation for any Slovak examinations. Our students have a 95% pass rate and we think that their success shows the value of our policy of working with above-average experienced Slovak teachers in Southampton. Issuing of results certificates, registration for Slovak examinations and administration of such exams is also provided by SIMON & SIMON.

The table below is based on recognised language levels used by various academic institutions accross the European Union. A highly motivated student attending weekly sessions with their language trainer can expect to move from one level to another after 50 hours providing they also commit to a similar number of hours of self-study.

Of course, some people find learning languages easier than others, and some students will have more opportunities to practise the language in the course of their work and leisure, so these factors also need to be considered when trying to assess how long it will take to move from one level to another.
