Many professionals in companies across the UK, as well as private individuals, have benefited from an Slovak Language Course with SIMON & SIMON. We have a terrific team of qualified native-speaker Slovak teachers, and with an average of 15 years' experience they will ensure you benefit from a course designed specifically around your needs, whether you are a complete beginner or an advanced learner with more specialised requirements. We consistently receive excellent feedback on our Slovak tutors from our clients, and we send our students a profile on their Slovak tutor prior to their Slovak lessons commencing, with information on the tutor's background and experience.

Modern language teaching is now approached much differently to how you might remember learning languages in school. The experience is now much more fun and rewarding. The Communicative Approach, where your Slovak teacher will conduct your lessons almost entirely in Slovak means that progress is made from your very first lesson. Soon, you will have such confidence that using Slovak in a social or business setting will be no problem.

The Slovak courses that we offer can be run as 1:1 or group sessions. While most of our clients use 1:1 Slovak training for their employees, group sessions can be good value. Participants numbers should be kept to 6 or less, and they will need to commit to meeting every week. If you require faster progress, 1:1 Slovak courses at Shropshire are more suitable as the lessons and course can be tailored to the individual’s needs while focusing on their specific weaknesses and strengths.

Slovak Course Management

SIMON & SIMON’s Slovak language courses all have a specific Account Manager who oversee the course. Each of these managers is highly experienced and multi-lingual. At the start of your Slovak course, you will receive a profile on your trainer, course materials and a Course Plan. After every 40 hours of training you will receive a Progress Report. We will send you our quarterly newsletter, Breaking the Language Barrier, which contains a wonderful prize draw as well as weblinks to valuable language learning resources.

SIMON & SIMON has arranged Slovak language courses for clients in numerous locations, and with our global network of language trainers we can organise a Slovak language course for you wherever you are - in almost any major city in the UK, Europe and beyond. The vast majority of our Slovak lessons take place at our clients' offices, removing the need for you to travel, but Slovak lessons can take place in your home if that is more convenient. We can also arrange full-time residential Slovak language courses for you - just contact our office for information on available destinations.

Shropshire Slovak Course Schedules

The Slovak language courses in Shropshire that we run go on through the year. Each week, most of our students will attend at least one of our 90-minute lessons, but many will do more. We can easily arrange Weekend Courses for you. Slovak courses run from Monday to Friday, any time from 8am to 8pm. Intensive Slovak language courses can be arranged in residential centres abroad or in the UK, or on clients’ premises for 30 hours per week, 6 hours a day Monday to Friday.

Before you start your Slovak language course we will assess your level of Slovak and speak to you about your aims so that your Slovak language course can be customised for you. You may have never been exposed to Slovak before and wish to develop basic survival skills, or you may have some experience and wish to be able to speak more fluently in Slovak when discussing business. You may want to further your ability to use Slovak in negotiations and meetings or better your comprehension and pronunciation abilities. Whatever goals you may have, our experienced Slovak language trainers will tailor your Slovak course so that your goals can be quickly met.

Slovak Language Examination Courses

We are happy to help in your preparation for any Slovak examinations. Our students have a 95% pass rate and we think that their success shows the value of our policy of working with above-average experienced Slovak teachers in Shropshire. Issuing of results certificates, registration for Slovak examinations and administration of such exams is also provided by SIMON & SIMON.

The table below is based on recognised language levels used by various academic institutions accross the European Union. A highly motivated student attending weekly sessions with their language trainer can expect to move from one level to another after 50 hours providing they also commit to a similar number of hours of self-study.

Of course, some people find learning languages easier than others, and some students will have more opportunities to practise the language in the course of their work and leisure, so these factors also need to be considered when trying to assess how long it will take to move from one level to another.

Slovak is an Indo-European language that belongs to the West Slavic languages (together with Czech, Polish, Silesian, Kashubian, and Sorbian). Slovak is spoken in Slovakia (by 5 million people), also in the United States (1,200,000), the Czech Republic (350,000), Serbia (60,000), Ireland (30,000), Romania (22,000), Poland (20,000), Canada (20,000), Hungary (11,800), Croatia (5,000), Australia, Austria, Bulgaria and Ukraine.

Shropshire is a county in the West Midlands region of England. It borders Wales to the west. Shropshire is one of England's most rural and sparsely populated counties with a population density of 91/km2 (337/sq mi). The shire county and its districts were replaced by a unitary authority on 1 April 2009. The borough of Telford and Wrekin, included in Shropshire for ceremonial purposes, has been a unitary authority since 1998. The county is centred around six main towns starting with the county town of Shrewsbury, which is culturally and historically important, although Telford, which was constructed around a number of older towns, most notably Wellington, Dawley and Madeley, is today the most populous. The other main towns are Oswestry in the north-west, Newport to the east, Bridgnorth in the south-east, and Ludlow to the south. Whitchurch and Market Drayton in the north of the county are also of notable size. The Ironbridge Gorge area is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, covering Ironbridge, Coalbrookdale and a part of Madeley. There are, additionally, other notable historic industrial sites located around the county, such as Broseley, Snailbeach and Highley as well as the Shropshire Union Canal.
