Private individuals and professionals in companies all over the UK have profited from undertaking a Slovak Language Course with SIMON & SIMON. Averaging 15 years of experience, our native Slovak speaking qualified teachers construct your course so that your individual requirements are met, no matter what your level of experience. Our Slovak teachers receive excellent feedback from our clients. A profile, containing information about the Slovak teacher’s background and experience, is sent to each student before the Slovak lessons start.

New teaching approaches have revolutionised how modern language training is now approached. This training, with more fun and a more worthwhile experience means that it’s a far cry from what you may remember of studying languages in school. When you start a Slovak course in Nottinghamshire, you will make progress from the very first lesson, as almost everything will be done in Slovak. This is known as the Communicative Approach, and means that your confidence and ability will soon grow so that you can use Slovak to communicate in social and business settings.

Both 1:1 and group formats are available for our Slovak language courses. While most of our clients offer 1:1 Slovak training, the group format can offer great value for money. If you want groups to be successful, the members must commit to the weekly meetings and we recommend keeping the number of participants below 7. Progress is faster for those who learn Slovak in Nottinghamshire on a 1:1 basis as the lessons are individually tailored for their particular needs, strengths and weaknesses.

Slovak Course Management

One of our highly experienced, multilingual Account managers oversees each SIMON & SIMON Slovak language course. On starting your Slovak course you will receive various materials including a profile on your trainer, a Course Plan and course materials and a Progress Report on every 40 hours of your training. Breaking the Language Barrier, our quarterly newsletter, which contains weblinks to various language learning sources and a prize draw, will also be sent to you.

SIMON & SIMON has arranged Slovak language courses for clients in numerous locations, and with our global network of language trainers we can organise a Slovak language course for you wherever you are - in almost any major city in the UK, Europe and beyond. The vast majority of our Slovak lessons take place at our clients' offices, removing the need for you to travel, but Slovak lessons can take place in your home if that is more convenient. We can also arrange full-time residential Slovak language courses for you - just contact our office for information on available destinations.

Nottinghamshire Slovak Course Schedules

Our Slovak language courses in Nottinghamshire run throughout the year. The majority of our students attend at least one 90-minute session per week and many students will try to do more than one session depending on work commitments. Our Slovak teachers are available Monday - Friday from 8am - 8pm, and Weekend Courses can also be arranged on request. Our intensive Slovak language courses run for 30 hours per week, (6 hours per day Monday - Friday), and take place on our clients' premises or at a residential centre here in the UK or abroad.

The content of your Slovak language course will reflect your level and your particular objectives. We will assess your Slovak language level before your course, and discuss with you in detail the subject areas you wish to focus on. You may be a complete beginner looking for day-to-day Slovak survival language skills, or a more proficient Slovak speaker needing to improve your fluency when discussing areas such as law, banking, finance, insurance, sales, travel, marketing, and administration. You may want to focus on improving your Slovak for meetings, discussions and negotiations, or to concentrate on improving your listening comprehension, pronunciation and telephone skills. Whatever your needs, working with one of our highly experienced Slovak language trainers you can be confident that the content of your Slovak language course will be tailored just for you and that you will soon be meeting your objectives.

Slovak Language Examination Courses

We can also help prepare you for Slovak examinations of a business or general nature. We are proud to say our students have a 95% pass rate in language examinations, and their success further underlines the value we place on working with Slovak teachers in Nottinghamshire with above average experience. As part of our service, SIMON & SIMON will also organise the registration and administration of Slovak examinations and the issuing of result certificates.

The table below is based on recognised language levels used by various academic institutions accross the European Union. A highly motivated student attending weekly sessions with their language trainer can expect to move from one level to another after 50 hours providing they also commit to a similar number of hours of self-study.

Of course, some people find learning languages easier than others, and some students will have more opportunities to practise the language in the course of their work and leisure, so these factors also need to be considered when trying to assess how long it will take to move from one level to another.

Slovak is spoken in Slovakia (by 5 million people), also in the United States (1,200,000), the Czech Republic (350,000), Serbia (60,000), Ireland (30,000), Romania (22,000), Poland (20,000), Canada (20,000), Hungary (11,800), Croatia (5,000), Australia, Austria, Bulgaria and Ukraine.

Nottinghamshire is an English county in the East Midlands, which borders South Yorkshire, Lincolnshire, Leicestershire and Derbyshire. The county town is traditionally Nottingham, though the council is now based in West Bridgford, a suburb of Greater Nottingham (at a site facing Nottingham City over the River Trent). The districts of Nottinghamshire are Ashfield, Bassetlaw, Broxtowe, Gedling, Mansfield, Newark and Sherwood, and Rushcliffe. The City of Nottingham was administratively part of Nottinghamshire between 1974 and 1998 but is now a unitary authority although it remains part of the historic and ceremonial county. As of 2006 the county is estimated to have a population of just over one million. Over half of the population of the county live in the conurbation of Greater Nottingham Core City Area which also spreads into Derbyshire. The conurbation has a population of about 650,000, though less than half live within the city boundaries.
