Slovak Course Management

Edinburgh Slovak Course Schedules

We run our Slovak language courses in Edinburgh all through the year. Many of our students, if work commitments allow, will attend more than one session weekly, and the vast majority take part in at least one 90-minute lesson weekly. We also arrange weekend Slovak courses on request. Our Slovak programs commence from 8am to 8pm Monday to Friday. Intensive 30 hour per week Slovak language courses, held on clients’ premises or at residential centres in the UK or abroad, are also available on a 6 hours per day basis, Monday through Friday.

Whatever your personal level of experience and future goals, your Slovak course will be customised for you. Before you start the course we will assess your level of Slovak and discuss in detail what you would like to focus on. You may desire simply to gain everyday Slovak skills from the level of a complete beginner, or you may have more experience in Slovak and want to improve your ability to discuss banking, finance or marketing. You may want to develop improved pronunciation and comprehension skills or improve your Slovak for use in negotiations and meetings. If you are taking a Slovak examination, for business or other reasons, we are happy to help you with your preparations. The table below is based on recognised language levels used by various academic institutions accross the European Union. A highly motivated student attending weekly sessions with their language trainer can expect to move from one level to another after 50 hours providing they also commit to a similar number of hours of self-study.

Of course, some people find learning languages easier than others, and some students will have more opportunities to practise the language in the course of their work and leisure, so these factors also need to be considered when trying to assess how long it will take to move from one level to another.

Edinburgh is the capital city of Scotland, the second largest city in Scotland and the seventh-most populous in the United Kingdom.
