Your Slovak teacher in Buckinghamshire will be using the Communicative Approach, where your lessons will, with few exceptions, be conducted in Slovak. You will see your progress from that very first lesson and will soon be confident enough to conduct business or talk socially in Slovak. The Slovak courses that we offer can be run as 1:1 or group sessions. While most of our clients use 1:1 Slovak training for their employees, group sessions can be good value. Participants numbers should be kept to 6 or less, and they will need to commit to meeting every week.
If you require faster progress, 1:1 Slovak courses at Buckinghamshire are more suitable as the lessons and course can be tailored to the individual’s needs while focusing on their specific weaknesses and strengths. Students may be complete novices who need everyday Slovak conversational skills or have more proficiency in Slovak and wish to be able to discuss various business topics such as banking or finance more fluently.
Students may desire to bolster their Slovak for negotiations and meetings or focus on gaining better listening, pronunciation and comprehension skills.

SIMON & SIMON also organises registration and administration of Slovak examinations as well as issuing results certificates as a part of our service. The table below is based on recognised language levels used by various academic institutions accross the European Union. A highly motivated student attending weekly sessions with their language trainer can expect to move from one level to another after 50 hours providing they also commit to a similar number of hours of self-study.
Of course, some people find learning languages easier than others, and some students will have more opportunities to practise the language in the course of their work and leisure, so these factors also need to be considered when trying to assess how long it will take to move from one level to another.

Slovak is spoken in Slovakia (by 5 million people), also in the United States (1,200,000), the Czech Republic (350,000), Serbia (60,000), Ireland (30,000), Romania (22,000), Poland (20,000), Canada (20,000), Hungary (11,800), Croatia (5,000), Australia, Austria, Bulgaria and Ukraine. Buckinghamshire archaically the County of Buckingham; abbreviated Bucks) is a ceremonial and non-metropolitan home county in South East England. The county town is Aylesbury, the largest town in the ceremonial county is Milton Keynes and largest town in the non-metropolitan county is High Wycombe.
The area under the control of Buckinghamshire County Council, or shire county, is divided into four districts―Aylesbury Vale, Chiltern, South Bucks and Wycombe. The Borough of Milton Keynes is a unitary authority and forms part of the county for various functions such as Lord Lieutenant but does not come under county council control. The ceremonial county, the area including Milton Keynes borough, borders Greater London (to the south east), Berkshire (to the south), Oxfordshire (to the west), Northamptonshire (to the north), Bedfordshire (to the north east) and Hertfordshire (to the east).
Sections of the county closer to London are part of the Metropolitan Green Belt, which prohibits development. It is the location of the nationally important Pinewood Studios and Dorney Lake, which will be holding the rowing events at the 2012 Summer Olympics. It is also well known for the new town of Milton Keynes, and the Chiltern Hills area of outstanding natural beauty.
