All over the UK, private individuals and professionals in a variety of companies have gained benefits by taking part in a Serbian Language Course from SIMON & SIMON. With an average of 15 years’ experience, the native Serbian speakers of SIMON & SIMON’s qualified teaching team tailor each course for the specific requirements of the student, from absolute novices to those with some experience. Our clients reliably give excellent feedback on our Serbian teachers. Each of our students receives an information profile on the background and experience of their Serbian teacher before they commence their Serbian lessons.

The way that modern languages are taught has gone through a revolution in the past few years. If you have only learned languages at school you will find that the experience now is vastly more fun and worthwhile. The Communicative Approach means that your Serbian lessons in Worcestershire will be almost entirely through the medium of Serbian. You will feel that you are making real progress, even in the first lesson, and will soon communicate in Serbian with confidence, in a range of social and business environments.

We offer Serbian courses as group sessions or on a 1:1 basis/ Most of our clients offer their employees 1:1 Serbian training, however, if planned carefully, with participants numbering 6 or less who commit to meeting every week, group sessions can be good value for money. Those who learn Serbian at Worcestershire on a 1:1 basis will find that they progress more quickly, as the lessons can be specifically tailored for their individual needs, strengths and weaknesses.

Serbian Course Management

Every SIMON & SIMON Serbian language course has a highly experienced, multi-lingual Account Manager who oversees it. When your Serbian course starts you will be sent a profile on your trainer, materials for your course and a Course Plan as well as a Progress Report for every 40 hours of training. Breaking the Language Barrier, our quarterly newsletter that you will also receive, contains a prize draw as well as weblinks to a number of learning resources.

Serbian language courses have been run by SIMON & SIMON in many locations. Our global network of language trainers means that any major city in the UK Europe, and beyond can hold your Serbian language course. We can arrange your Serbian language lessons for your own home, but many of our clients like to run them in their offices so as to minimise travel. Residential full-time Serbian language courses are also available. Our office can discuss available locations with you.

Worcestershire Serbian Course Schedules

Our Serbian language courses in Worcestershire go on all year. Some of our students attend more than one 90-minute weekly session if work circumstances allow, and most will attend at least one per week. Weekend Courses in Serbian can be arranged on request. Our Serbian courses are available 12 hours a day, from 8am to 8pm Monday through Friday. 30 hour per week intensive Serbian courses can be held on clients’ premises or in residential centres in the UK or abroad. These courses take 6 hours per day, Monday through Friday.

We will tailor your Serbian language course for your specific aims and level of knowledge. Before you start your Serbian language course we will assess your goals and level of Serbian experience. Your desire to learn Serbian may be simply to develop basic skills, or you may have some level of proficiency and wish to increase your ability to use Serbian to discuss business. You may want to develop your language skills so that you can use Serbian in negotiations and meetings or improve your pronunciation and telephone skills. No matter what goals you have, you can be confident of our Serbian trainers experience and that your Serbian language course is tailored to your needs and your goals will be quickly met.

Serbian Language Examination Courses

Our students’ pass rate for Serbian examinations is at 95%, and we are happy to help with the preparations for any such examination. Our high pass rate shows the value of working with Serbian teachers in Worcestershire who have a higher level of experience than average. SIMON & SIMON also arrange registration for Serbian examinations as well as administering the examination and issuing the results.

The table below is based on recognised language levels used by various academic institutions accross the European Union. A highly motivated student attending weekly sessions with their language trainer can expect to move from one level to another after 50 hours providing they also commit to a similar number of hours of self-study.

Of course, some people find learning languages easier than others, and some students will have more opportunities to practise the language in the course of their work and leisure, so these factors also need to be considered when trying to assess how long it will take to move from one level to another.

Back to top of Serbian Courses Worcestershire

Serbian is a form of Serbo-Croatian spoken by Serbs in Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Croatia and neighbouring countries. There are two principal Serbian dialects, Shtokavian and Torlakian. The literary and standard language is based on Shtokavian, which is also the basis of Standard Croatian, Bosnian, and Montenegrin. Serbian is standardized around Sumadija-Vojvodina and Eastern Herzegovinian subdialects of Shtokavian. Apart from Shtokavian, the Torlak dialect, transitional to Macedonian and Bulgarian, is spoken in southeast Serbia.

Worcestershire is a non-metropolitan county, established in antiquity, located in the West Midlands region of central England. In 1974 it was merged with the neighbouring county of Herefordshire to form the county of Hereford and Worcester; which was divided in 1998, re-establishing Worcestershire once more as an independent entity. Following the 1998 reform the crest of the Malvern Hills forms the east–west border between the two counties, with the exception of the parish of West Malvern in Worcestershire. The county borders Herefordshire, Shropshire, Staffordshire, West Midlands, Warwickshire, and Gloucestershire. To the west, the county is bordered by the Malvern Hills, and the spa town of Malvern. The southern part of the county is bordered by Gloucestershire and the northern edge of the Cotswolds, and to the east is Warwickshire. There are two major rivers flowing through the county, the Severn and the Avon. The cathedral city of Worcester is the largest settlement and administrative seat of the county, which includes the principal settlements of Bromsgrove, Stourport-on-Severn, Droitwich, Evesham, Kidderminster, Malvern, and the largest town, Redditch, and a number of smaller towns such as Pershore, Tenbury Wells, and Upton upon Severn. The northern part of the county includes the beginnings of the vast urban sprawl of the industrial West Midlands agglomeration, while the remainder and the south of the county is largely rural.
