Please click a title below for further information:

Private individuals and professionals in companies all over the UK have profited from undertaking a Serbian Language Course with SIMON & SIMON. Averaging 15 years of experience, our native Serbian speaking qualified teachers construct your course so that your individual requirements are met, no matter what your level of experience. Our Serbian teachers receive excellent feedback from our clients. A profile, containing information about the Serbian teacher’s background and experience, is sent to each student before the Serbian lessons start.

Maybe your only knowledge of studying languages is what you remember from school. Modern language teaching has recently changed to be much more entertaining and rewarding. Your Serbian lessons in Warwickshire will be carried out almost completely in Serbian. This is the Communicative Approach and by this method you will notice progress from the initial lesson. You will soon feel confident and able to use Serbian to communicate in various business and social situations.

The Serbian courses that we offer can be run as 1:1 or group sessions. While most of our clients use 1:1 Serbian training for their employees, group sessions can be good value. Participants numbers should be kept to 6 or less, and they will need to commit to meeting every week. If you require faster progress, 1:1 Serbian courses at Warwickshire are more suitable as the lessons and course can be tailored to the individual’s needs while focusing on their specific weaknesses and strengths.

Serbian Course Management

One of our highly experienced, multilingual Account managers oversees each SIMON & SIMON Serbian language course. On starting your Serbian course you will receive various materials including a profile on your trainer, a Course Plan and course materials and a Progress Report on every 40 hours of your training. Breaking the Language Barrier, our quarterly newsletter, which contains weblinks to various language learning sources and a prize draw, will also be sent to you.

We have a global network of language trainers so our Serbian language courses can be arranged for almost any major European city, or even further abroad. SIMON & SIMON have run Serbian language courses for clients in many diverse locations. Serbian language courses can be run in your home for your convenience, but many of our clients prefer to run them in their offices so as to minimise travel. For a list of the locations of the full-time residential Serbian language courses that we offer, contact our office.

Warwickshire Serbian Course Schedules

The Serbian language courses in Warwickshire that we run go on through the year. Each week, most of our students will attend at least one of our 90-minute lessons, but many will do more. We can easily arrange Weekend Courses for you. Serbian courses run from Monday to Friday, any time from 8am to 8pm. Intensive Serbian language courses can be arranged in residential centres abroad or in the UK, or on clients’ premises for 30 hours per week, 6 hours a day Monday to Friday.

Before you start your Serbian language course we will assess your level of Serbian and speak to you about your aims so that your Serbian language course can be customised for you. You may have never been exposed to Serbian before and wish to develop basic survival skills, or you may have some experience and wish to be able to speak more fluently in Serbian when discussing business. You may want to further your ability to use Serbian in negotiations and meetings or better your comprehension and pronunciation abilities. Whatever goals you may have, our experienced Serbian language trainers will tailor your Serbian course so that your goals can be quickly met.

Serbian Language Examination Courses

We are happy to help in your preparation for any Serbian examinations. Our students have a 95% pass rate and we think that their success shows the value of our policy of working with above-average experienced Serbian teachers in Warwickshire. Issuing of results certificates, registration for Serbian examinations and administration of such exams is also provided by SIMON & SIMON.

The table below is based on recognised language levels used by various academic institutions accross the European Union. A highly motivated student attending weekly sessions with their language trainer can expect to move from one level to another after 50 hours providing they also commit to a similar number of hours of self-study.

Of course, some people find learning languages easier than others, and some students will have more opportunities to practise the language in the course of their work and leisure, so these factors also need to be considered when trying to assess how long it will take to move from one level to another.

Back to top of Serbian Courses Warwickshire

Serbian is a form of Serbo-Croatian spoken by Serbs in Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Croatia and neighbouring countries. There are two principal Serbian dialects, Shtokavian and Torlakian. The literary and standard language is based on Shtokavian, which is also the basis of Standard Croatian, Bosnian, and Montenegrin. Serbian is standardized around Sumadija-Vojvodina and Eastern Herzegovinian subdialects of Shtokavian. Apart from Shtokavian, the Torlak dialect, transitional to Macedonian and Bulgarian, is spoken in southeast Serbia.

Warwickshire is a landlocked non-metropolitan county in the West Midlands region of England. The county town is Warwick, although the largest town is Nuneaton in the far north of the county. The shape of the administrative area Warwickshire differs considerably from that of the historic county. Commonly used abbreviations for the county are Warks or Warwicks. Warwickshire is perhaps best known for being the birthplace of William Shakespeare from Stratford-upon-Avon. Even today, road signs at the county boundary describe Warwickshire as "Shakespeare's County". The county has also produced other literary figures such as George Eliot (from Nuneaton), Rupert Brooke (from Rugby), and Michael Drayton from Hartshill. The poet Philip Larkin lived in Warwick (born in nearby Coventry), and Elizabeth Gaskell went to school in Barford and Stratford. Warwickshire is bounded to the north-west by the West Midlands metropolitan county and Staffordshire, by Leicestershire to the north-east, Northamptonshire to the east, Worcestershire to the west, Oxfordshire to the south and Gloucestershire to the south-west. The northern tip of the county is only 5 km (3 miles) from the Derbyshire border. An average-sized English county covering an area of almost 2,000 km2, it runs some 96 km (60 mi) north to south.
