Coventry Serbian Course Schedules

We run our Serbian language courses in Coventry all through the year. Many of our students, if work commitments allow, will attend more than one session weekly, and the vast majority take part in at least one 90-minute lesson weekly. We also arrange weekend Serbian courses on request. Our Serbian programs commence from 8am to 8pm Monday to Friday. Intensive 30 hour per week Serbian language courses, held on clients’ premises or at residential centres in the UK or abroad, are also available on a 6 hours per day basis, Monday through Friday.

Serbian is a form of Serbo-Croatian spoken by Serbs in Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Croatia and neighbouring countries. There are two principal Serbian dialects, Shtokavian and Torlakian. The literary and standard language is based on Shtokavian, which is also the basis of Standard Croatian, Bosnian, and Montenegrin. Serbian is standardized around Sumadija-Vojvodina and Eastern Herzegovinian subdialects of Shtokavian. Apart from Shtokavian, the Torlak dialect, transitional to Macedonian and Bulgarian, is spoken in southeast Serbia.

Coventry is a city and metropolitan borough in the county of West Midlands in England. Coventry is the 9th largest city in England and the 11th largest in the United Kingdom. It is also the second largest city in the English Midlands, after Birmingham, with a population of 300,848, although both Leicester and Nottingham have larger urban areas.
