Serbian Courses for Business in Brighton

All over the UK, private individuals and professionals in a variety of companies have gained benefits by taking part in a Serbian Language Course from SIMON & SIMON. With an average of 15 years’ experience, the native Serbian speakers of SIMON & SIMON’s qualified teaching team tailor each course for the specific requirements of the student, from absolute novices to those with some experience. Our clients reliably give excellent feedback on our Serbian teachers. Each of our students receives an information profile on the background and experience of their Serbian teacher before they commence their Serbian lessons.

Modern language teaching is now approached much differently to how you might remember learning languages in school. The experience is now much more fun and rewarding. The Communicative Approach, where your Serbian teacher will conduct your lessons almost entirely in Serbian means that progress is made from your very first lesson. Soon, you will have such confidence that using Serbian in a social or business setting will be no problem.

Both 1:1 and group formats are available for our Serbian language courses. While most of our clients offer 1:1 Serbian training, the group format can offer great value for money. If you want groups to be successful, the members must commit to the weekly meetings and we recommend keeping the number of participants below 7. Progress is faster for those who learn Serbian in Brighton on a 1:1 basis as the lessons are individually tailored for their particular needs, strengths and weaknesses.

Serbian Course Management

Every SIMON & SIMON Serbian language course has a highly experienced, multi-lingual Account Manager who oversees it. When your Serbian course starts you will be sent a profile on your trainer, materials for your course and a Course Plan as well as a Progress Report for every 40 hours of training. Breaking the Language Barrier, our quarterly newsletter that you will also receive, contains a prize draw as well as weblinks to a number of learning resources.

The Serbian language courses of SIMON & SIMON have been run in numerous locations. As we have a global network of language trainers your Serbian language course can be arranged in major cities across Europe and further afield. Most of our clients arrange for their Serbian lessons to be run in their offices so that there is less need for travel, but we can also run Serbian lessons in your home. We also run residential full-time Serbian language courses in a variety of locations which our office will be happy to inform you of.

Brighton Serbian Course Schedules

The Serbian language courses in Brighton that we run go on through the year. Each week, most of our students will attend at least one of our 90-minute lessons, but many will do more. We can easily arrange Weekend Courses for you. Serbian courses run from Monday to Friday, any time from 8am to 8pm. Intensive Serbian language courses can be arranged in residential centres abroad or in the UK, or on clients’ premises for 30 hours per week, 6 hours a day Monday to Friday.

Before you start your Serbian language course we will assess your level of Serbian and speak to you about your aims so that your Serbian language course can be customised for you. You may have never been exposed to Serbian before and wish to develop basic survival skills, or you may have some experience and wish to be able to speak more fluently in Serbian when discussing business. You may want to further your ability to use Serbian in negotiations and meetings or better your comprehension and pronunciation abilities. Whatever goals you may have, our experienced Serbian language trainers will tailor your Serbian course so that your goals can be quickly met.

Serbian Language Examination Courses

We are happy to help in your preparation for any Serbian examinations. Our students have a 95% pass rate and we think that their success shows the value of our policy of working with above-average experienced Serbian teachers in Brighton. Issuing of results certificates, registration for Serbian examinations and administration of such exams is also provided by SIMON & SIMON.

The table below is based on recognised language levels used by various academic institutions accross the European Union. A highly motivated student attending weekly sessions with their language trainer can expect to move from one level to another after 50 hours providing they also commit to a similar number of hours of self-study.

Of course, some people find learning languages easier than others, and some students will have more opportunities to practise the language in the course of their work and leisure, so these factors also need to be considered when trying to assess how long it will take to move from one level to another.

Back to top of Serbian Courses Brighton

Serbian is a form of Serbo-Croatian spoken by Serbs in Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Croatia and neighbouring countries. There are two principal Serbian dialects, Shtokavian and Torlakian. The literary and standard language is based on Shtokavian, which is also the basis of Standard Croatian, Bosnian, and Montenegrin. Serbian is standardized around Sumadija-Vojvodina and Eastern Herzegovinian subdialects of Shtokavian. Apart from Shtokavian, the Torlak dialect, transitional to Macedonian and Bulgarian, is spoken in southeast Serbia.

Brighton is the major part of the city of Brighton and Hove (formed from the previous towns of Brighton, Hove, Portslade and several other villages) in East Sussex on the south coast of Great Britain. For administrative purposes, Brighton and Hove is not part of the non-metropolitan county of East Sussex, but remains part of the ceremonial county of East Sussex, within the historic County of Sussex. The ancient settlement of Brighthelmstone dates from before Domesday Book (1086), but it emerged as a health resort featuring sea bathing during the 18th century and became a destination for day-trippers from London after the arrival of the railway in 1841. Brighton experienced rapid population growth, reaching a peak of over 160,000 by 1961. Modern Brighton forms part of the Brighton/Worthing/Littlehampton conurbation stretching along the coast, with a population of around 480,000. Brighton has long been renowned throughout the UK and Europe as gay-friendly, and is home to a large LGBT community. Eight million tourists a year visit Brighton. The city has a substantial business conference industry regularly hosting the Liberal Democrats, Labour Party, Conservative Party and Trade Union annual conferences. Brighton has two universities and a medical school.
