Russian Courses for Business in Wolverhampton

Please click a title below for further information:

Private individuals and professionals in companies all over the UK have profited from undertaking a Russian Language Course with SIMON & SIMON. Averaging 15 years of experience, our native Russian speaking qualified teachers construct your course so that your individual requirements are met, no matter what your level of experience. Our Russian teachers receive excellent feedback from our clients. A profile, containing information about the Russian teacher’s background and experience, is sent to each student before the Russian lessons start.

Maybe your only knowledge of studying languages is what you remember from school. Modern language teaching has recently changed to be much more entertaining and rewarding. Your Russian lessons in Wolverhampton will be carried out almost completely in Russian. This is the Communicative Approach and by this method you will notice progress from the initial lesson. You will soon feel confident and able to use Russian to communicate in various business and social situations.

The Russian courses that we offer can be run as 1:1 or group sessions. While most of our clients use 1:1 Russian training for their employees, group sessions can be good value. Participants numbers should be kept to 6 or less, and they will need to commit to meeting every week. If you require faster progress, 1:1 Russian courses at Wolverhampton are more suitable as the lessons and course can be tailored to the individual’s needs while focusing on their specific weaknesses and strengths.

Russian Course Management

Every SIMON & SIMON Russian language course is overseen by one of our highly experienced Account Managers, all of whom are multi-lingual. At the start of your Russian language course we will send you a profile on your trainer, followed by a Course Plan and relevant course materials, and then a Progress Report after every 40 hours of training. You will also receive a copy of our quarterly newsletter, Breaking the Language Barrier, featuring a superb prize draw and invaluable weblinks to language learning sources.

Russian language courses have been run by SIMON & SIMON in many locations. Our global network of language trainers means that any major city in the UK Europe, and beyond can hold your Russian language course. We can arrange your Russian language lessons for your own home, but many of our clients like to run them in their offices so as to minimise travel. Residential full-time Russian language courses are also available. Our office can discuss available locations with you.

Wolverhampton Russian Course Schedules

We run our Russian language courses in Wolverhampton all through the year. Many of our students, if work commitments allow, will attend more than one session weekly, and the vast majority take part in at least one 90-minute lesson weekly. We also arrange weekend Russian courses on request. Our Russian programs commence from 8am to 8pm Monday to Friday. Intensive 30 hour per week Russian language courses, held on clients’ premises or at residential centres in the UK or abroad, are also available on a 6 hours per day basis, Monday through Friday.

Whatever your personal level of experience and future goals, your Russian course will be customised for you. Before you start the course we will assess your level of Russian and discuss in detail what you would like to focus on. You may desire simply to gain everyday Russian skills from the level of a complete beginner, or you may have more experience in Russian and want to improve your ability to discuss banking, finance or marketing. You may want to develop improved pronunciation and comprehension skills or improve your Russian for use in negotiations and meetings. Whatever your goals and needs, our highly experienced Russian language trainers will tailor your Russian course so that your goals will be met quickly.

Russian Language Examination Courses

If you are taking a Russian examination, for business or other reasons, we are happy to help you with your preparations. We are very proud of the 95% pass rate of our students in language examinations. We believe this highlights the value of working with Russian teachers in Wolverhampton whose experience is above average. SIMON & SIMON can also register you for your Russian examination, administer the examination and issue you your results.

The table below is based on recognised language levels used by various academic institutions accross the European Union. A highly motivated student attending weekly sessions with their language trainer can expect to move from one level to another after 50 hours providing they also commit to a similar number of hours of self-study.

Of course, some people find learning languages easier than others, and some students will have more opportunities to practise the language in the course of their work and leisure, so these factors also need to be considered when trying to assess how long it will take to move from one level to another.

Back to top of Russian Courses Wolverhampton

Russian is a Slavic language used primarily in Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. It is an unofficial but widely spoken language in Ukraine, Latvia and Estonia and, to a lesser extent, the other countries that were once constituent republics of the USSR. It is the most geographically widespread language of Eurasia, the most widely spoken of the Slavic languages, and the largest native language in Europe. Russian belongs to the family of Indo-European languages and is one of three (or four including Rusyn) living members of the East Slavic languages. Written examples of Old East Slavonic are attested from the 10th century onwards. The language is one of the six official languages of the United Nations.

Wolverhampton is a city and metropolitan borough in the West Midlands, England. In 2004, the local government district had an estimated population of 239,100; the wider Urban Area had a population of 251,462, which makes it the 13th most populous city in England. Historically a part of Staffordshire, and forming part of the metropolitan county of the West Midlands from 1974, the city is commonly recognised as being named after Lady Wulfrun, who founded the town in 985: its name coming from Anglo-Saxon Wulfrūnehēantūn = "Wulfrūn's high or principal enclosure or farm".Alternatively, the city may have earned its original name from Wulfereēantūn = "Wulfhere's high or principal enclosure or farm" after the Mercian King.Nevertheless, the name Wulfrun is commonly used in the city – for example, for the Wulfrun Centre or for Wulfrun Hall. The city's name is often abbreviated to Wolvo "W'ton" or "Wolves". The city council's motto is "Out of darkness, cometh light". People from Wolverhampton are known as Wulfrunians. The city grew initially as a market town with specialism within the woollen trade. During and after the Industrial Revolution, the city became a major industrial centre, with mining (mostly coal, limestone and iron ore) as well as production of steel, japanning, locks, motorcycles and cars – including the first vehicle to hold the Land speed record at over 200 mph. Today, the major industries within the city are both engineering based (including a large aerospace industry) and within the service sector.
