Russian language courses have been run by SIMON & SIMON in many locations. Our global network of language trainers means that any major city in the UK Europe, and beyond can hold your Russian language course. We can arrange your Russian language lessons for your own home, but many of our clients like to run them in their offices so as to minimise travel. Residential full-time Russian language courses are also available. Our office can discuss available locations with you.

Nottinghamshire Russian Course Schedules

We run Russian language courses in Nottinghamshire all year. Most of our students participate in no less than one 90-minute lesson per week, but many students will participate in more if work commitments allow. Weekend Courses can be facilitated, and our Russian weekday courses run from Monday to Friday, from 8am to 8pm. Intensive Russian language courses are also available and can be run at the client’s premises or a residential centre in the UK or overseas. These courses take place over 6 hours a day, Monday through Friday, for 30 hours per week.

Your Russian language course’s content will be tailored to your experience and goals. Prior to the course, we will assess your Russian language level and speak to you comprehensively about the areas and subjects you are interested in. Students may be complete novices who need everyday Russian conversational skills or have more proficiency in Russian and wish to be able to discuss various business topics such as banking or finance more fluently. Students may desire to bolster their Russian for negotiations and meetings or focus on gaining better listening, pronunciation and comprehension skills. No matter what your needs, you can be confident that our very experienced Russian language trainers will work with you on a Russian language course that is tailored for you so that you quickly meet your goals.

Russian Language Examination Courses

Russian examination preparation for business or other examinations can also be assisted with. The table below is based on recognised language levels used by various academic institutions accross the European Union. Of course, some people find learning languages easier than others, and some students will have more opportunities to practise the language in the course of their work and leisure, so these factors also need to be considered when trying to assess how long it will take to move from one level to another.

Russian is a Slavic language used primarily in Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. It is an unofficial but widely spoken language in Ukraine, Latvia and Estonia and, to a lesser extent, the other countries that were once constituent republics of the USSR. It is the most geographically widespread language of Eurasia, the most widely spoken of the Slavic languages, and the largest native language in Europe. Russian belongs to the family of Indo-European languages and is one of three (or four including Rusyn) living members of the East Slavic languages. Written examples of Old East Slavonic are attested from the 10th century onwards. The language is one of the six official languages of the United Nations.

Nottinghamshire is an English county in the East Midlands, which borders South Yorkshire, Lincolnshire, Leicestershire and Derbyshire. The county town is traditionally Nottingham, though the council is now based in West Bridgford, a suburb of Greater Nottingham (at a site facing Nottingham City over the River Trent). The districts of Nottinghamshire are Ashfield, Bassetlaw, Broxtowe, Gedling, Mansfield, Newark and Sherwood, and Rushcliffe. The City of Nottingham was administratively part of Nottinghamshire between 1974 and 1998 but is now a unitary authority although it remains part of the historic and ceremonial county. Over half of the population of the county live in the conurbation of Greater Nottingham Core City Area which also spreads into Derbyshire. The conurbation has a population of about 650,000, though less than half live within the city boundaries.
