Russian Courses for Business in Leicestershire

Please click a title below for further information:

SIMON & SIMON’s team of qualified native Russian speaking teachers average 15 years of experience. Professionals and private individuals from all over the UK have benefited from SIMON & SIMON’s Russian language courses, all of which are tailor-made to reflect each student's level of experience. We consistently receive outstanding feedback from our clients about our Russian tutors. Each student is sent a specific profile on the experience and background of their Russian tutor before they start their course of lessons.

Maybe your only knowledge of studying languages is what you remember from school. Modern language teaching has recently changed to be much more entertaining and rewarding. Your Russian lessons in Leicestershire will be carried out almost completely in Russian. This is the Communicative Approach and by this method you will notice progress from the initial lesson. You will soon feel confident and able to use Russian to communicate in various business and social situations.

Both 1:1 and group formats are available for our Russian language courses. While most of our clients offer 1:1 Russian training, the group format can offer great value for money. If you want groups to be successful, the members must commit to the weekly meetings and we recommend keeping the number of participants below 7. Progress is faster for those who learn Russian in Leicestershire on a 1:1 basis as the lessons are individually tailored for their particular needs, strengths and weaknesses.

Russian Course Management

Every SIMON & SIMON Russian language course is overseen by one of our highly experienced Account Managers, all of whom are multi-lingual. At the start of your Russian language course we will send you a profile on your trainer, followed by a Course Plan and relevant course materials, and then a Progress Report after every 40 hours of training. You will also receive a copy of our quarterly newsletter, Breaking the Language Barrier, featuring a superb prize draw and invaluable weblinks to language learning sources.

SIMON & SIMON’s Russian language courses have been run for clients in many different locations. With a global network of language trainers a Russian language course can be held in almost any major city throughout Europe and elsewhere. We can arrange Russian language courses in your home or, as many of our clients prefer, in your offices to remove the need for you to travel. Full-time residential Russian language courses are also an option. For a list of locations, please contact our office.

Leicestershire Russian Course Schedules

Our Russian language courses in Leicestershire run throughout the year. The majority of our students attend at least one 90-minute session per week and many students will try to do more than one session depending on work commitments. Our Russian teachers are available Monday - Friday from 8am - 8pm, and Weekend Courses can also be arranged on request. Our intensive Russian language courses run for 30 hours per week, (6 hours per day Monday - Friday), and take place on our clients' premises or at a residential centre here in the UK or abroad.

The content of your Russian language course will reflect your level and your particular objectives. We will assess your Russian language level before your course, and discuss with you in detail the subject areas you wish to focus on. You may be a complete beginner looking for day-to-day Russian survival language skills, or a more proficient Russian speaker needing to improve your fluency when discussing areas such as law, banking, finance, insurance, sales, travel, marketing, and administration. You may want to focus on improving your Russian for meetings, discussions and negotiations, or to concentrate on improving your listening comprehension, pronunciation and telephone skills. Whatever your needs, working with one of our highly experienced Russian language trainers you can be confident that the content of your Russian language course will be tailored just for you and that you will soon be meeting your objectives.

Russian Language Examination Courses

We can also help prepare you for Russian examinations of a business or general nature. We are proud to say our students have a 95% pass rate in language examinations, and their success further underlines the value we place on working with Russian teachers in Leicestershire with above average experience. As part of our service, SIMON & SIMON will also organise the registration and administration of Russian examinations and the issuing of result certificates.

The table below is based on recognised language levels used by various academic institutions accross the European Union. A highly motivated student attending weekly sessions with their language trainer can expect to move from one level to another after 50 hours providing they also commit to a similar number of hours of self-study.

Of course, some people find learning languages easier than others, and some students will have more opportunities to practise the language in the course of their work and leisure, so these factors also need to be considered when trying to assess how long it will take to move from one level to another.

Russian is a Slavic language used primarily in Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. It is an unofficial but widely spoken language in Ukraine, Latvia and Estonia and, to a lesser extent, the other countries that were once constituent republics of the USSR. It is the most geographically widespread language of Eurasia, the most widely spoken of the Slavic languages, and the largest native language in Europe. Russian belongs to the family of Indo-European languages and is one of three (or four including Rusyn) living members of the East Slavic languages. Written examples of Old East Slavonic are attested from the 10th century onwards. The language is one of the six official languages of the United Nations.

Leicestershire is a landlocked county in central England. It takes its name from the heavily populated City of Leicester, traditionally its administrative centre, although the City of Leicester unitary authority is today administered separately from the rest of Leicestershire. The county borders onto Derbyshire to the north-west, Nottinghamshire to the north, Rutland to the east, Warwickshire to the south-west, Staffordshire to the west, Lincolnshire to the north-east, and Northamptonshire to the south-east. The border with Warwickshire is Watling Street (the A5). County Hall, situated in Glenfield, about 3 miles (5 km) north-west of Leicester city centre, is the seat of Leicestershire County Council and the headquarters of the county authority. The City of Leicester is administered from offices in Leicester itself and the City Council meets at Leicester Town Hall.
