As we have a global network of language trainers your Russian language course can be arranged in major cities across Europe and further afield. Most of our clients arrange for their Russian lessons to be run in their offices so that there is less need for travel, but we can also run Russian lessons in your home. We also run residential full-time Russian language courses in a variety of locations which our office will be happy to inform you of.

Hertfordshire Russian Course Schedules

Our Russian language courses in Hertfordshire take place throughout the year. Many of our students try to attend more than one weekly lesson if work commitments allow, and most will attend at least one session of 90-minutes duration per week. If you would like a Weekend Course, one can be arranged. Our Russian daytime courses run from 8am through to 8pm, Monday - Friday. We also provide Intensive Russian language courses on clients’ premises or in residential centres both in the UK and abroad. These courses run for 30 hours of the week, 6 hours a day from Monday to Friday.

The Russian language course that you undertake will be customised for your Russian level and personal goals. Before you start the course, we will speak to you about your desired focus and assess you Russian level. You may have little or no experience of Russian and only want basic conversational skills or you may be more proficient and desire more fluency with which to discuss business. You may want to raise your Russian skills for use in meetings and negotiations or rather develop increased comprehension and pronunciation skills. Russian Language Examination Courses

The table below is based on recognised language levels used by various academic institutions accross the European Union. A highly motivated student attending weekly sessions with their language trainer can expect to move from one level to another after 50 hours providing they also commit to a similar number of hours of self-study.

Of course, some people find learning languages easier than others, and some students will have more opportunities to practise the language in the course of their work and leisure, so these factors also need to be considered when trying to assess how long it will take to move from one level to another.

Russian is a Slavic language used primarily in Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. It is an unofficial but widely spoken language in Ukraine, Latvia and Estonia and, to a lesser extent, the other countries that were once constituent republics of the USSR. It is the most geographically widespread language of Eurasia, the most widely spoken of the Slavic languages, and the largest native language in Europe. Russian belongs to the family of Indo-European languages and is one of three (or four including Rusyn) living members of the East Slavic languages. Written examples of Old East Slavonic are attested from the 10th century onwards. The language is one of the six official languages of the United Nations.

Hertfordshire is a ceremonial and non-metropolitan county in the East region of England. The county town is Hertford. The county is one of the Home Counties and lies inland, bordered by Greater London (to the south), Buckinghamshire (to the west), Bedfordshire (including the unitary authorities of Luton and Central Bedfordshire to the north), Cambridgeshire (to the north east) and Essex (to the east). Hertfordshire was originally the area assigned to a fortress constructed at Hertford under the rule of Edward the Elder in 913. The name Hertford is derived from the Anglo-Saxon heort ford, meaning deer crossing (of a watercourse). The name Hertfordshire first appears in the Anglo-Saxon Chronicle in 1011. Deer feature prominently in many county emblems. There is evidence of human beings living in Hertfordshire since the Middle Stone Age. It was first farmed during the Neolithic period and permanent habitation appeared at the beginning of the Bronze Age. This was followed by tribes settling in the area during the Iron Age.
