Russian Courses for Business in Blackpool

Please click a title below for further information:

Designed and customised for the individual student’s needs, SIMON & SIMON’s Russian courses, taught by a team of qualified native Russian speakers who average 15 years of experience, have already benefited professionals and non-professionals across the UK. Courses cater for all levels of experience. The feedback on our Russian tutors that we receive from our clients is consistently excellent. Prior to the start of your Russian course, you will be sent a profile on your specific Russian teacher’s experience and background.

Modern language teaching is now approached much differently to how you might remember learning languages in school. The experience is now much more fun and rewarding. The Communicative Approach, where your Russian teacher will conduct your lessons almost entirely in Russian means that progress is made from your very first lesson. Soon, you will have such confidence that using Russian in a social or business setting will be no problem.

Our Russian courses are usually offered by our clients as 1:1 training for their employees. Group sessions, however, are also available and can be excellent value for money. Planning is required so that participants all meet at the same time each week, and we recommend that numbers are kept to 6 or less. 1:1 Russian lessons at Blackpool mean that you will have your individual needs, weaknesses and strengths catered for, so that your progress is quicker.

Russian Course Management

Every SIMON & SIMON Russian language course has a highly experienced, multi-lingual Account Manager who oversees it. When your Russian course starts you will be sent a profile on your trainer, materials for your course and a Course Plan as well as a Progress Report for every 40 hours of training. Breaking the Language Barrier, our quarterly newsletter that you will also receive, contains a prize draw as well as weblinks to a number of learning resources.

We have a global network of language trainers so our Russian language courses can be arranged for almost any major European city, or even further abroad. SIMON & SIMON have run Russian language courses for clients in many diverse locations. Russian language courses can be run in your home for your convenience, but many of our clients prefer to run them in their offices so as to minimise travel. For a list of the locations of the full-time residential Russian language courses that we offer, contact our office.

Blackpool Russian Course Schedules

We run our Russian language courses in Blackpool all through the year. Many of our students, if work commitments allow, will attend more than one session weekly, and the vast majority take part in at least one 90-minute lesson weekly. We also arrange weekend Russian courses on request. Our Russian programs commence from 8am to 8pm Monday to Friday. Intensive 30 hour per week Russian language courses, held on clients’ premises or at residential centres in the UK or abroad, are also available on a 6 hours per day basis, Monday through Friday.

Whatever your personal level of experience and future goals, your Russian course will be customised for you. Before you start the course we will assess your level of Russian and discuss in detail what you would like to focus on. You may desire simply to gain everyday Russian skills from the level of a complete beginner, or you may have more experience in Russian and want to improve your ability to discuss banking, finance or marketing. You may want to develop improved pronunciation and comprehension skills or improve your Russian for use in negotiations and meetings. Whatever your goals and needs, our highly experienced Russian language trainers will tailor your Russian course so that your goals will be met quickly.

Russian Language Examination Courses

If you are taking a Russian examination, for business or other reasons, we are happy to help you with your preparations. We are very proud of the 95% pass rate of our students in language examinations. We believe this highlights the value of working with Russian teachers in Blackpool whose experience is above average. SIMON & SIMON can also register you for your Russian examination, administer the examination and issue you your results.

The table below is based on recognised language levels used by various academic institutions accross the European Union. A highly motivated student attending weekly sessions with their language trainer can expect to move from one level to another after 50 hours providing they also commit to a similar number of hours of self-study.

Of course, some people find learning languages easier than others, and some students will have more opportunities to practise the language in the course of their work and leisure, so these factors also need to be considered when trying to assess how long it will take to move from one level to another.

Back to top of Russian Courses Blackpool

Russian is a Slavic language used primarily in Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. It is an unofficial but widely spoken language in Ukraine, Latvia and Estonia and, to a lesser extent, the other countries that were once constituent republics of the USSR. It is the most geographically widespread language of Eurasia, the most widely spoken of the Slavic languages, and the largest native language in Europe. Russian belongs to the family of Indo-European languages and is one of three (or four including Rusyn) living members of the East Slavic languages. Written examples of Old East Slavonic are attested from the 10th century onwards. The language is one of the six official languages of the United Nations.

Blackpool is a seaside town and unitary authority in Lancashire, England. Situated along the coast of the Irish Sea, it has a population of 142,900, making it the third-largest settlement in North West England behind Manchester and Liverpool. It lies 40 miles (64 km) north-west of the city of Manchester, and less than 30 miles (48 km) north of Liverpool City centre. Blackpool is the fourth most densely populated local authority district of England & Wales outside Greater London. Blackpool rose to prominence as a major centre of tourism during the 19th century, particularly for the inhabitants of northern mill towns. Blackpool is believed to get its name from a historic drainage channel (possibly Spen Dyke) that ran over a peat bog, discharging discoloured water into the Irish Sea, which formed a black pool (on the other side of the sea, "Dublin" (Dubh Linn) is derived from the Irish for "black pool"). Another explanation is that the local dialect for stream was "pul" or "poole", hence "Black poole".
