Many professionals in companies across the UK, as well as private individuals, have benefited from an Romanian Language Course with SIMON & SIMON. We have a terrific team of qualified native-speaker Romanian teachers, and with an average of 15 years' experience they will ensure you benefit from a course designed specifically around your needs, whether you are a complete beginner or an advanced learner with more specialised requirements. We consistently receive excellent feedback on our Romanian tutors from our clients, and we send our students a profile on their Romanian tutor prior to their Romanian lessons commencing, with information on the tutor's background and experience.

Maybe your only knowledge of studying languages is what you remember from school. Modern language teaching has recently changed to be much more entertaining and rewarding. Your Romanian lessons in Nottingham will be carried out almost completely in Romanian. This is the Communicative Approach and by this method you will notice progress from the initial lesson. You will soon feel confident and able to use Romanian to communicate in various business and social situations.

Our Romanian language courses are available on both a 1:1 and group basis, but the majority of our clients offer 1:1 Romanian training to their employees. However, with careful planning, group training can offer great value for money, provided there is a real commitment from the participants to get together at the same time every week. We strongly recommend you keep group numbers to 6 or less for these types of courses to be successful. Those learning Romanian in at Nottingham on a 1:1 basis will naturally make much faster progress, as the course will be designed around their individual needs and focus on their particular strengths and weaknesses.

Romanian Course Management

Each of SIMON & SIMON’s Romanian languages courses is the responsibility of a multi-lingual, very experienced Account Manager. When you start your Romanian course, you will receive your trainer’s profile. Thereafter we will send you a Course Plan, materials for the course and, after each 40 hours of training, a Progress Report. Our quarterly newsletter, Breaking the Language Barrier, will also reach you, and contains a prize draw as well as the weblinks of language learning resources.

The Romanian language courses of SIMON & SIMON have been run in numerous locations. As we have a global network of language trainers your Romanian language course can be arranged in major cities across Europe and further afield. Most of our clients arrange for their Romanian lessons to be run in their offices so that there is less need for travel, but we can also run Romanian lessons in your home. We also run residential full-time Romanian language courses in a variety of locations which our office will be happy to inform you of.

Nottingham Romanian Course Schedules

We run our Romanian language courses in Nottingham all through the year. Many of our students, if work commitments allow, will attend more than one session weekly, and the vast majority take part in at least one 90-minute lesson weekly. We also arrange weekend Romanian courses on request. Our Romanian programs commence from 8am to 8pm Monday to Friday. Intensive 30 hour per week Romanian language courses, held on clients’ premises or at residential centres in the UK or abroad, are also available on a 6 hours per day basis, Monday through Friday.

Whatever your personal level of experience and future goals, your Romanian course will be customised for you. Before you start the course we will assess your level of Romanian and discuss in detail what you would like to focus on. You may desire simply to gain everyday Romanian skills from the level of a complete beginner, or you may have more experience in Romanian and want to improve your ability to discuss banking, finance or marketing. You may want to develop improved pronunciation and comprehension skills or improve your Romanian for use in negotiations and meetings. Whatever your goals and needs, our highly experienced Romanian language trainers will tailor your Romanian course so that your goals will be met quickly.

Romanian Language Examination Courses

If you are taking a Romanian examination, for business or other reasons, we are happy to help you with your preparations. We are very proud of the 95% pass rate of our students in language examinations. We believe this highlights the value of working with Romanian teachers in Nottingham whose experience is above average. SIMON & SIMON can also register you for your Romanian examination, administer the examination and issue you your results.

The table below is based on recognised language levels used by various academic institutions accross the European Union. A highly motivated student attending weekly sessions with their language trainer can expect to move from one level to another after 50 hours providing they also commit to a similar number of hours of self-study.

Of course, some people find learning languages easier than others, and some students will have more opportunities to practise the language in the course of their work and leisure, so these factors also need to be considered when trying to assess how long it will take to move from one level to another.

Back to top of Romanian Courses Nottingham

Romanian is a Romance language spoken by around 24 to 28 million people, primarily in Romania and Moldova. It has official status in Romania, Republic of Moldova, the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina in Serbia and in the autonomous Mount Athos in Greece. Romanian speakers are scattered across many other countries, notably Italy, Spain, Ukraine, Bulgaria, the United States, Canada, Israel, Russia, Portugal, the United Kingdom, France, and Germany.

Nottingham is a city and unitary authority area in the East Midlands region of the United Kingdom. It is located in the ceremonial county of Nottinghamshire, and is one of eight members of the English Core Cities Group. Whilst the City of Nottingham has a historically tightly drawn boundary which accounts for its relatively small population of 288,700, the wider Nottingham Urban Area has a population of 667,000 and is the seventh-largest urban area in the United Kingdom, ranking between those of Liverpool and Sheffield. Eurostat's Larger Urban Zone listed the areas population at 825,600 as of 2004. Nottingham is famed for its links with the Robin Hood legend and, during the Industrial Revolution, obtained worldwide recognition for its lace-making and bicycle industries. It was granted its city charter as part of the Diamond Jubilee celebrations of Queen Victoria in 1897 and has since been officially titled the City of Nottingham. In Anglo-Saxon times, around 600 AD the site formed part of the Kingdom of Mercia and was known in the Brythonic language as Tigguo Cobauc, meaning Place of Caves. In Welsh it is known poetically as Y Ty Ogofog, "The Cavey Dwelling". When it fell under the rule of a Saxon chieftain named Snot it became known as "Snotingaham"; the homestead of Snot's people (Inga = the people of; Ham = homestead). Snot brought together his people in an area now known as the Lace Market.
