All over the UK, private individuals and professionals in a variety of companies have gained benefits by taking part in a Romanian Language Course from SIMON & SIMON. With an average of 15 years’ experience, the native Romanian speakers of SIMON & SIMON’s qualified teaching team tailor each course for the specific requirements of the student, from absolute novices to those with some experience. Our clients reliably give excellent feedback on our Romanian teachers. Each of our students receives an information profile on the background and experience of their Romanian teacher before they commence their Romanian lessons.

If you have only studied languages before at school you will find that teaching approaches to modern language training have changed enormously in recent years - it's now a lot more fun and a far more rewarding experience! Your teacher will conduct your Romanian lesson in Northampton almost entirely in Romanian - a method known as the Communicative Approach - and you will find yourself making progress from the very first lesson and soon growing in the confidence to communicate in Romanian in a variety of social and business situations.

Our Romanian courses are usually offered by our clients as 1:1 training for their employees. Group sessions, however, are also available and can be excellent value for money. Planning is required so that participants all meet at the same time each week, and we recommend that numbers are kept to 6 or less. 1:1 Romanian lessons at Northampton mean that you will have your individual needs, weaknesses and strengths catered for, so that your progress is quicker.

Romanian Course Management

Each of SIMON & SIMON’s Romanian languages courses is the responsibility of a multi-lingual, very experienced Account Manager. When you start your Romanian course, you will receive your trainer’s profile. Thereafter we will send you a Course Plan, materials for the course and, after each 40 hours of training, a Progress Report. Our quarterly newsletter, Breaking the Language Barrier, will also reach you, and contains a prize draw as well as the weblinks of language learning resources.

SIMON & SIMON Romanian language courses have been arranged for clients in various locations. We have a global network of trainers and wherever you are, we will be able to organise a Romanian language course for you, not only in the UK but in almost any of the major cities in Europe and beyond. Most of our Romanian courses are run at the offices of our clients so that you do not have to travel, but we are happy to arrange Romanian training sessions for you in your home. Full-time Romanian courses can be arranged in a residential setting for you. Our office has information on the locations we offer.

Northampton Romanian Course Schedules

The Romanian language courses in Northampton that we run go on through the year. Each week, most of our students will attend at least one of our 90-minute lessons, but many will do more. We can easily arrange Weekend Courses for you. Romanian courses run from Monday to Friday, any time from 8am to 8pm. Intensive Romanian language courses can be arranged in residential centres abroad or in the UK, or on clients’ premises for 30 hours per week, 6 hours a day Monday to Friday.

Before you start your Romanian language course we will assess your level of Romanian and speak to you about your aims so that your Romanian language course can be customised for you. You may have never been exposed to Romanian before and wish to develop basic survival skills, or you may have some experience and wish to be able to speak more fluently in Romanian when discussing business. You may want to further your ability to use Romanian in negotiations and meetings or better your comprehension and pronunciation abilities. Whatever goals you may have, our experienced Romanian language trainers will tailor your Romanian course so that your goals can be quickly met.

Romanian Language Examination Courses

We are happy to help in your preparation for any Romanian examinations. Our students have a 95% pass rate and we think that their success shows the value of our policy of working with above-average experienced Romanian teachers in Northampton. Issuing of results certificates, registration for Romanian examinations and administration of such exams is also provided by SIMON & SIMON.

The table below is based on recognised language levels used by various academic institutions accross the European Union. A highly motivated student attending weekly sessions with their language trainer can expect to move from one level to another after 50 hours providing they also commit to a similar number of hours of self-study.

Of course, some people find learning languages easier than others, and some students will have more opportunities to practise the language in the course of their work and leisure, so these factors also need to be considered when trying to assess how long it will take to move from one level to another.

Back to top of Romanian Courses Northampton

Romanian is a Romance language spoken by around 24 to 28 million people, primarily in Romania and Moldova. It has official status in Romania, Republic of Moldova, the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina in Serbia and in the autonomous Mount Athos in Greece. Romanian speakers are scattered across many other countries, notably Italy, Spain, Ukraine, Bulgaria, the United States, Canada, Israel, Russia, Portugal, the United Kingdom, France, and Germany.

Northampton is a large market town and local government district in the East Midlands region of England. It is about 67 miles (108 km) north-west of London and around 50 miles (80 km) south-east of Birmingham, and lies on the River Nene. It is the county town of Northamptonshire. The district's population is 200,100 and the town population is 189,474, making Northampton the 22nd-largest settlement in England, and the UK's 4th-largest town without official city status, after Reading, Dudley and Milton Keynes. Northampton is the most populous district in England that is not a unitary authority, a status it failed to obtain in the 1990s local government reform. Northampton's population has increased greatly since the 1960s, largely due to planned expansion under the New Towns Commission in the early 1970s. Remains found here date from the Bronze Age. Farming settlement probably began around the 7th century AD. In the 8th century it was an administrative centre for the kingdom of Mercia. The pre-Norman town was known as Hamtun and was only ca0.60 acres (2,400 m2).
