Please click a title below for further information:

Designed and customised for the individual student’s needs, SIMON & SIMON’s Romanian courses, taught by a team of qualified native Romanian speakers who average 15 years of experience, have already benefited professionals and non-professionals across the UK. Courses cater for all levels of experience. The feedback on our Romanian tutors that we receive from our clients is consistently excellent. Prior to the start of your Romanian course, you will be sent a profile on your specific Romanian teacher’s experience and background.

The way that modern languages are taught has gone through a revolution in the past few years. If you have only learned languages at school you will find that the experience now is vastly more fun and worthwhile. The Communicative Approach means that your Romanian lessons in Hull will be almost entirely through the medium of Romanian. You will feel that you are making real progress, even in the first lesson, and will soon communicate in Romanian with confidence, in a range of social and business environments.

The Romanian courses that we offer can be run as 1:1 or group sessions. While most of our clients use 1:1 Romanian training for their employees, group sessions can be good value. Participants numbers should be kept to 6 or less, and they will need to commit to meeting every week. If you require faster progress, 1:1 Romanian courses at Hull are more suitable as the lessons and course can be tailored to the individual’s needs while focusing on their specific weaknesses and strengths.

Romanian Course Management

One of our highly experienced, multilingual Account managers oversees each SIMON & SIMON Romanian language course. On starting your Romanian course you will receive various materials including a profile on your trainer, a Course Plan and course materials and a Progress Report on every 40 hours of your training. Breaking the Language Barrier, our quarterly newsletter, which contains weblinks to various language learning sources and a prize draw, will also be sent to you.

We have a global network of language trainers so our Romanian language courses can be arranged for almost any major European city, or even further abroad. SIMON & SIMON have run Romanian language courses for clients in many diverse locations. Romanian language courses can be run in your home for your convenience, but many of our clients prefer to run them in their offices so as to minimise travel. For a list of the locations of the full-time residential Romanian language courses that we offer, contact our office.

Hull Romanian Course Schedules

We run our Romanian language courses in Hull all through the year. Many of our students, if work commitments allow, will attend more than one session weekly, and the vast majority take part in at least one 90-minute lesson weekly. We also arrange weekend Romanian courses on request. Our Romanian programs commence from 8am to 8pm Monday to Friday. Intensive 30 hour per week Romanian language courses, held on clients’ premises or at residential centres in the UK or abroad, are also available on a 6 hours per day basis, Monday through Friday.

Whatever your personal level of experience and future goals, your Romanian course will be customised for you. Before you start the course we will assess your level of Romanian and discuss in detail what you would like to focus on. You may desire simply to gain everyday Romanian skills from the level of a complete beginner, or you may have more experience in Romanian and want to improve your ability to discuss banking, finance or marketing. You may want to develop improved pronunciation and comprehension skills or improve your Romanian for use in negotiations and meetings. Whatever your goals and needs, our highly experienced Romanian language trainers will tailor your Romanian course so that your goals will be met quickly.

Romanian Language Examination Courses

If you are taking a Romanian examination, for business or other reasons, we are happy to help you with your preparations. We are very proud of the 95% pass rate of our students in language examinations. We believe this highlights the value of working with Romanian teachers in Hull whose experience is above average. SIMON & SIMON can also register you for your Romanian examination, administer the examination and issue you your results.

The table below is based on recognised language levels used by various academic institutions accross the European Union. A highly motivated student attending weekly sessions with their language trainer can expect to move from one level to another after 50 hours providing they also commit to a similar number of hours of self-study.

Of course, some people find learning languages easier than others, and some students will have more opportunities to practise the language in the course of their work and leisure, so these factors also need to be considered when trying to assess how long it will take to move from one level to another.

Back to top of Romanian Courses Hull

Romanian is a Romance language spoken by around 24 to 28 million people, primarily in Romania and Moldova. It has official status in Romania, Republic of Moldova, the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina in Serbia and in the autonomous Mount Athos in Greece. Romanian speakers are scattered across many other countries, notably Italy, Spain, Ukraine, Bulgaria, the United States, Canada, Israel, Russia, Portugal, the United Kingdom, France, and Germany.

Kingston upon Hull usually referred to as Hull, is a city and unitary authority area in the ceremonial county of the East Riding of Yorkshire, England. It stands on the River Hull at its junction with the Humber estuary, 25 miles (40 km) inland from the North Sea. Hull has a resident population of 258,700 (2008 est.). The Larger Urban Zone (LUZ) population stands at 573,300. Renamed Kings town upon Hull by King Edward I in 1299, the town and city of Hull has served as market town, military supply port, trading hub, fishing and whaling centre, and industrial metropolis. Hull was an early theatre of battle in the English Civil Wars. Its 18th-century Member of Parliament, William Wilberforce, played a key role in the abolition of the slave trade in Britain. The city is unique in the UK in having had a municipally-owned telephone system from 1902, sporting cream, not red, telephone boxes. After suffering heavy damage during the Second World War, Hull weathered a period of post-industrial decline, during which the city gained unfavourable results on measures of social deprivation, education and policing. In recent years the city has embarked on an extensive programme of economic regeneration, reconstruction and urban renewal. The economic crisis since 2008 has caused some setbacks to these developments. Hull has been the base for several notable poets, including former University of Hull Librarian Philip Larkin, many of whose poems were set in the city.
