Worcestershire Portuguese Course Schedules

Our Portuguese language courses in Worcestershire go on all year. Some of our students attend more than one 90-minute weekly session if work circumstances allow, and most will attend at least one per week. Weekend Courses in Portuguese can be arranged on request. Our Portuguese courses are available 12 hours a day, from 8am to 8pm Monday through Friday. 30 hour per week intensive Portuguese courses can be held on clients’ premises or in residential centres in the UK or abroad. These courses take 6 hours per day, Monday through Friday.

Portuguese Language Examination Courses

Our students’ pass rate for Portuguese examinations is at 95%, and we are happy to help with the preparations for any such examination. Portuguese is a Romance language developed from Galician-Portuguese that was spoken in the medieval Kingdom of Galicia. It is an official language of the European Union, the Organisation of American States, the African Union, and Lusophone countries. With around 240 million speakers, Portuguese is the sixth-most spoken language in the world. Portuguese is the official language of Angola, Brazil, Cape Verde, Guinea-Bissau, Portugal, São Tomé and Príncipe, and Mozambique. According to estimates by UNESCO, Portuguese and Spanish are the fastest-growing European languages after English and the language has the highest potential for growth as an international language in southern Africa and South America.

Worcestershire is a non-metropolitan county, established in antiquity, located in the West Midlands region of central England. In 1974 it was merged with the neighbouring county of Herefordshire to form the county of Hereford and Worcester; which was divided in 1998, re-establishing Worcestershire once more as an independent entity. Following the 1998 reform the crest of the Malvern Hills forms the east–west border between the two counties, with the exception of the parish of West Malvern in Worcestershire.
